Summary

Mal's first priority is giving his six-year-old son the best Christmas ever, a goal made trickier by a recent move to New England after losing his job. As a single dad, he's not looking for romance—especially not with a blond California boy 10 years his junior.

I should have tried the sample first

Who approved this recording? Why does a professional have such an appalling microphone, and refuse to mount a pop-filter for every shh, zshh, and thh? The ambient sound is bad but no deal-breaker.
I gave the story 3 stars avarage because I can't rate an unread story.
