The main problem with this book is the audiobook has been produced to a low standard and there are lots of sentence repetitions which I found annoying.

The story is ok. I found the blackmail premise to be incredibly stupid and that pulled me out of the story. I can't believe a teenage girl would get 10+ years for defending herself from a drug dealer's assault but everyone believes this and the cover up of the case is the blackmail material.

The story itself is alright. It's a little bit farfetched but so many of these mystery stories are. It was quite slow in the middle but sped up towards the end.

I have recommended this book to other mystery enthusiasts but that's it. It wouldn't have much widespread appeal.

Listened to this in one day as I couldn’t stop. Twists keep coming, and the story is driven by so much emotion that it had me gripped throughout. The queen of the ‘what would you do’ dilemma is well and truly back.

Another brilliant listen by Gillian MAllister

The plot was intreaguing and interwoven in the masterful way that Gillian McAllister does best. Not as exciting as Wrong Place Wrong Time, but definitely a great book which I would reccomeded. However, as with the other reviews, what really let's this down is terrible editing. Did no one at Penguin bother to listen to this before release? Numerous repeats where the editing was pooy executed. I've never come across this before and will hopefully be remedied swiftly so as not to tarnish the book with a worse review than it deserves.
