Absolutely loved it . The story was amazing John Solo's narration was perfect. But the most memorable part was at the end . Need the next book/ audio like yesterday

First of all, I love John Solo as a narrator. Possibly one of the best in the genre, so I knew this would be a great listen (and I was right!)

I obviously didn’t read the description very well, as this story is actually across two books which I didn’t realise until I was suddenly at the end credits - oops. So I did listen initially, feeling this was the slowest of slow burns, but it was amazing anyway. Phoenix covers some of the issues in this book (addiction, religious homophobia) with real taste - it was very well done. Kinsey and Benoni are both beautiful characters, don’t think I could pick which I preferred. Looking forward now (that I know) to the next book and to see how their beautiful relationship continues to develop to complement each other even further.

Honestly this is one of the best narrated books I’ve come across so far. John Solo single handedly made these characters extremely relatable and lovable even.

I had the distinct pleasure of reading the ARC version of this book and I thought nothing would be better but WOW was I wrong.

This audible is now my absolute favourite I had to stop what I was doing twice and just cry, it was so moving. I can't wait for the second part box of tissues at the ready.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story even though this first half of the duology feels like it just stops in the middle of the book so they can sell 2 books instead of 1, The characters are adorable and interesting in this setting the scene book. It’s slower than glacial with zero heat yet I still loved it. Surprised myself. I’m hoping all the heat is in book 2. Fantastic narration.
