Summary

Everything changes when Meath finds himself in the magically veiled village of Salvas. News of the death of his friends leaves him teetering on the verge of emotional ruin and bitter loathing. Yet an enthralling new life connected to his past presents itself within the quintessence that is Salvas.

The true nature of the False Prince is revealed, shedding a whole new light on the devastation Draco Kingdom faces. Meath sets himself to the task of avenging his broken life the only way he can: by killing Astaroth…

Captured Zehava, Dahak, Nicolette, and Shania struggle to stay alive when they find themselves now slaves. Zehava and Dahak are thrown into the Pit, where blood and coin come at the forfeit of life. In a desperate attempt to keep their group together, they must suppress their humanity to keep the identity of Draco’s heir hidden and safe while they plot a daring and daunting escape.

A solid follow up.

I was given a free copy of this book and I'm leaving an honest and voluntary review.

This 2nd book is fast paced, well written and nicely presented. it's one of those books that keep you wanting, it's hard not put it down.
Nigel has yet again done a masterful performance.

A solid second book

Having enjoyed the first book it is of no surprise that the second book is of equal quality if not even better. All the characters are further fleshed out as more of their history is revealed with a few interesting surprises along the way. Brothers of Blood is a good solid fantasy novel leaning a little more into "grimdark" than it's predecessor. The ending is satisfying and ties up a number of plots whilst setting the stage for book 3.

Nigel's narration is, as always, a joy to listen to. He has the Midas touch when it comes to audiobook production and this one is no exception. The multitude of character voices and the excellent use of sound and music really brings this novel to life. Hopefully we don't have too long a wait for book 3.
