I have read our listened to the entire series to date and this is one of the best. Some surprises, but good surprises!

Beautifully written and narrated, as always in this series. Very much a ‘happy ever after’ feeling for each character as though this is the end - I hope not! McCall Smith is among the best of modern writers - clever and intuitive, seeking the humour in the trivia of everyday life. And Rintoul’s repertoire of accents is up with the best.
