Summary

A man lies under the tawny earth, hands still clutching the knife that killed him. Thorfinn Sigurdarson, Earl of all Orkney and Caithness, has made a mistake, and he won’t let himself forget it. Now, rumours have started in the Norse lands that he might be getting a second chance - but should he take it, when it means that dead men are walking?

A Viking whodunnit

Good story, kept me guessing to the end. Great narrator, ideal for the setting of the story. When is the next one?

I couldn’t understand the narrator

Being moderately deaf I tried to persevere with this book as I liked the storyline. Unfortunately with volume up and slowed narration I still could make out all the words spoken. The narrator tails off in definition and volume at the end of each sentence.
