I have to start by saying, I do not normally listen to paranormal books, but because I love Stacy Eaton’s writing, I thought I would take a chance. And I loved it! This different twist on the legends of vampires is enticing and had me at the first chapter. Kristen is a police officer who is investigating the murder of a local girl whose throat is ripped open. Never has she seen anything like this. Now approached by two men, who bear familiarity to her, she finds herself in a déjà vu love triangle. But does who does she choose, and why? This story has so much going on, I became engrossed in the details. Kristen is a wonderful character. I love strong women, and she is very independent. She is determined, and curious and proves to be a loyal and loving person. Julian and Alex are intriguing and their story is fascinating. The integration of vampires in our everyday life is melded in a believable way and lets us fall into the violence and romance of their world. I enjoyed this first book and am looking forward to where Eaton builds her vampire world.

Alex Black gives a good performance. He has a good pace and enjoyable voices, though at times it was hard to distinguish who was speaking. I enjoyed his ability to inflect suspense and have us on the edge of our seats. It is an enjoyable listen and I will be watching for the next installment.

Great start to this series!

My Blood Buns Blue is a fantastic start to a new series. Stacy Eaton is a talented author with a diverse style, and she did a brilliant job composing an urban fantasy/paranormal romance. The storyline is engrossing, it sucks you in, immersing you from start to finish. The world-building is nicely done, the imagery is vivid, and the police investigation and the addition of supernatural creatures makes this book utterly entertaining. The main characters are absolutely intriguing, well-rounded, bold, and capable with appealing personalities. The romance component is a plus, the connection between the characters is palpable, with electrified chemistry

Outstanding narration by Alex Black. He captures the essence of the characters, the emotions, and animations, bringing the entire story to life. My Blood Runs Blue is a perfect blend of an engaging storyline, characters, and outstanding narration; I highly recommend this audiobook.

Kristin has always felt like something is missing, and then when Julian arrives to help with an unusual case he arouses feelings she hasn't felt in a long time. The more questions that she asks the more confused she becomes.
I enjoyed the story but I felt there was a huge amount of repetition as the exact same scene was played out from different viewpoints. There was also a huge amount of describing each person in the scenes, far too much for me.
The narration was good. Easy to listen to.

Enjoyable story and start o the series
