I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the book. Great story line. Looking forward to listening to the next book. Great twists and turns. Never headed where I thought it was going.
Off to hunt for more from Sam Kates.

I flew through this book and found myself wanting to listen at every opportunity. It's an interesting take on how how humans came to be. To include things like Stonehenge and why it was created is great as I love to imagine how an alien race could be responsible. I like the characters that have developed so far and cannot see how the human race (the drones), will make it through so it got me hooked. Problem is, the narrator in Book 2 and 3 has changed, which in itself I hate when listening to a series because the narrator makes the characters familiar. But also the narrator isn't half as good as in book 1 (sorry author as I know it's your narration). So I'm afraid I cannot listen to the rest, I might try reading the book instead but I'm such a slow reader (hense why i listen) that I probably won't get around to it. Shame as I would have instantly clicked to buy the second book. I should have checked the narrator continued in following books before I invested in book 1. If they are re-narrated by the original narrator, I'll pick it back up ☺️

I just couldn't finish this book, so many good reviews and got three quarters of the way through and still nothing really happened. yes there was a play, but that's it? I just can't make it to the end to find out. Sorry this one just wasn't for me.
