If Joe and Vicky had known what relocating to a tiny mountain village in Andalucía would REALLY be like, they might have hesitated. They can have no idea of the culture shock in store for them… no idea they'll become reluctant chicken farmers and own the most dangerous cockerel in Spain… no idea they'll help capture a vulture and be rescued by a mule. Will they stay, or will they return to the relative sanity of England?©2010 Victoria Twead (P)2018 W. F. Howes Ltd Contemporary Fiction Europe Genre Fiction Kurgu Komik Esprili İyi Hissettiren Komedi

What a lovely audiobook! I have listened to (and the next two in the series) it more than once now, as it's just such good fun following the characters and adventures in Victoria Twead's stories! Each time I listen, I feel as if I've been transported to a small village in Spain for a little while. Such a joy!!

I very much enjoyed listening to this w. It was different from my usual choice. I thought the narration was very good throughout. Clear and distinctive. Shall probably look for another story in this series.

Chickens, Miles and Two Old Fools.

Good storyline and I felt like I knew the characters, also made me want to learn Spanish and look at buying a holiday home!
I would have given 5 stars but the thing that let it down for me was the narration at times. When the narrator did the husbands voice it didn’t match the description of the character, he certainly didn’t sound like a military guy, more like an old librarian! Some of the impersonating was just slightly cringe, sorry! It almost made me give up a couple of times.
Off to check out more by the author though so I can’t be that put off!

Very good story easy listen
