Özet

When his betrothed leaves him stranded at the altar, Lord Galen Woodbridge is more embarrassed than broken-hearted. Desperate to deflect attention from his humiliating plight, he decides to stir up a bit of a scandal - by wedding London's most eligible and elusive songstress, the magnificently sensuous Margot Montclaire.

After Galen proposes, Margot confides that her sexy demeanor is merely an act. A baron's daughter, she took to the stage to escape the clutches of a diabolical uncle - and reluctantly left her fragile young brother behind in his care. To win Margot's hand, Galen agrees to save her sickly sibling - but in this marriage of mutual convenience, he never planned on losing his heart...

Pure entertainment in one package: the goodies are good, baddies are evil, loughs are a plenty and love conkers all. The story is well written and expertly narrated. I am getting quite addicted to this author. Can't resist humorous interludes in a romantic story spiced with danger and a dash of mystery. Deadpan delivery by narrator is a bonus.

Love this book. Good addition to my library.

The narrator's bored, matter of fact telling of the tale is perfectly pitched. Clever dialogue and lots of giggles makes for an enjoyable listen.

Regency Romp that's fun

Can recommend this book. Only thing that spoilt it was the narrator's pretend French accent, otherwise she got it spot on.
I would buy books by this author again.

Funny and lighthearted

The narrator should not try French accents. However she did her best with the stupid story.
It is hard to describe just how unbelievable the characters and scenarios are portraited.
A dog that destroys everything and chases everyone off. Temper tantrums, with lots of destroying of furniture an ornaments. In fact one wonders how the the house remained standing. The secondary characters are over the top. The Hero and Heroine are totally sidelined by the other players. Even when they are having silly argument. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR CREDIT.

Sublime to the Ridiculous
