Pennies by Pepper Winters is a great first book in the Dollars series. I had a love/hate relationship with Elder Prest but can't wait to find out more of his past secrets. I didn't like the way Kylie Stewart read the character of Pimlico. I switched between reading and audio and I felt she was a stronger character when I read than when I listened.

its almost shameful listenjng to this and thinking its good because it happens! its not just entertainment but it is written very well and the strength of character is the mainstay of the story.

Pepper Winters takes us in a dark journey as we follow Pimlico's existence and survival in a sinful, cruel world where evil has the money and power to rule. Kim's story is told in the first person, so we get to experience her abduction, conflicted feelings on a variety of topics and her struggle for survival and to keep some of herself alive and hidden away.
I was utterly captivated by this disturbing tale, it was proficient written in a away it blew my mind. I was at the edge of my seat and got very invested of Pim's live.
That ending was something, and I can't wait to get to know Elder better and see what comes next.
The narration was also excellent, it really makes you FEEL!

Cruel topic but captivating...

Beautifully written
Beautifully preformed by both narrators

This book is not as direct and detailed described in regards to the sex and violence as others of this genre, but there is no need, you are a captive right along our "heroine"

I just finished this first one, and is downloading the second.

Dread.... Hatred.... Fear... Anger...

I believe Pepper Winters has a talent of grabbing your emotions by the balls and twisting, and twisting... Until you don't know up from down.... Bravo!

Not a book for a light listen that is for sure!
