Summary

The king of wall street is brought to his knees by an ambitious bombshell.

At work, I’m King of Wall Street. The heaviest hitters in Manhattan come to me to make money. They do whatever I say because I’m always right. I’m shrewd. Exacting. Some say ruthless.

At home, I’m a single dad trying to keep his fourteen-year-old daughter a kid for as long as possible. If my daughter does what I say, somewhere there’s a snowball surviving in hell. And nothing I say is ever right.

When Harper Jayne starts as a junior researcher at my firm, the barriers between my worlds begin to dissolve. She’s the most infuriating woman I’ve ever worked with.

I don’t like the way she bends over the photocopier—it makes my mouth water.

I hate the way she’s so eager to do a good job—it makes my body twitch.

And I can’t stand the way she wears her hair up exposing her long neck. It makes me want to strip her naked, bend her over my desk and trail my tongue all over her body.

If my two worlds are going to collide, Harper Jayne will have to learn that I don't just rule the boardroom. I’m in charge of the bedroom, too.

The King of Wall Street is a standalone contemporary romance.

lovely story, would listen again

Very nicely balanced story with a little drama and enough hot stuff to keep it interesting but not so much that it becomes dull, well balanced so many books of this genre aren't hence 5 ☆
Harper is a great lead lady and it's nice that King was just a steady guy with a teenage daughter, I loved the interplay between dad and daughter.

A true sexy office romance to get lost in.

I just loved this standalone so much. The story is beautifully written in dual POV. You know the story, two people not in the market for love, fighting the pull that they feel every time they see each other. Harper is hard headed, strong, independent and beautiful. Max is, well, what is Max? He's strong, sexy, successfully, charismatic, a fantastic father, a true family man, loyal, did I say sexy, handsome and a complete and utter God? Oh and did I say sexy as hell? I was hooked from the get-go. Light, easy, fun and flirty. A true sexy office romance to get lost in. The narrator's are perfect, got the characters nailed. Got to say, can't go wrong with Sebastian York, ever! Thank you Ms Bay.

Lovely story

Lovely story, good narration. Could have done with being a little longer as last couple of chapters felt a bit rushed. Definitely a keeper.

Probably one of my favourites

I have revisited this audio book several times and each time it doesn't disappoint. I enjoy the storylibe and details as well as the styke it's been written in.

Almost worthy of a 5-star rating

The story line of this books was surprisingly better than the British Knight. It contained scenes that I would add in a story to increase the 'wow' factor despite the fact that a couple of scenes felt a bit unrealistic. These involved the characters' swift let's-jump-into-the-sack moments.

One thing I did not like, however, was the female character's angry moments - these felt more prominent than usual. However, the descent story line made up for this. Similarly, the male character's pouty moments where he fought he feelings was a bit annoying as well. However, both these annoyances were overlooked by the performance and general story line.

This was my second read in this 'series'. I definitely recommend it as a treat.

Another fabulous romance ❤❤

I really enjoyed Harper and Max's story and have never been disappointed with any of Louise's books.
Adding the excellent narration from Sebastian and Andi makes this audiobook worth 10 stars ❤❤❤❤❤

UUGGHH FOR HARPER!!

Okay, so I'm giving this book 3 stars.

Let's get this clear, the book wasn't bad. I liked the book. It was just that damn Harper! She is annoyng as all hell and inconsiderate. She jumps to all the conclusions before knowing anything and then doesn't want to look stupid when she is proven wrong. One moment she wants Max to stand up to her father and when he does, she doesn't want anything to do with him. Again, jumps to conclusion and then doesn't want to look stupid.

I LOVED MAX!! He's reasonable and I can always see where he is coming from with all he does whether business wise or personal life. And for her making Grace look like an idiot throughout the whole book, that girl has a great sense of reasoning ability and has great logics. Grace, is a smart girl made to look stupid which is alright. There are alot of these girls in real life.

Would I listen to this book again? I would if Harper was replaced with Grace. Or just somebody else. Because Harper acts like she is headstrong but, boy, is she weak AF.

So, one star for the great book. I mean, I listened and it was well narrated by Sebastian and Andie... Which is why I purchased the book because those are my two FAVOURITE narrators and I have listened to Louise Bay books before (Hollywood Scandal) which was good so WIN-WIN. Kudos to you Louise :) The book is well written. There are no plot holes and I can see how everything connects and that is good.

Another star for the story again because for once I can close my eyes and just see myself in the story right there with the characters and that doesn't happen often. I just wish I could smack Harper upside the head for a majority of the book which is why I kept listening because I WANTED to know if that girl would gain some sense with her moody a**.

And you might have guessed it, the third star is for Max and his adorable Amanda and his nosey but loving sisters and for Grace.
