Experience the second episode of the "Dino lernt Deutsch" story series for German learners on your stereo or headphones, at home or on the go! The narration speed and style of this audiobook is aimed at absolute beginners, with special emphasis on clear pronunciation, so that you can easily pause and repeat words and phrases whenever you please. Intermediate learners are invited to just sit back and immerse themselves in the sounds and sights of Frankfurt.

Join Dino on his visit to a quaint Hessian cider pub, explore the Zeil, Frankfurt's famous shopping mile and stroll along the shores of the Main river. (To maximize learning benefits, we recommend listening to this audiobook together with a paperback or ebook edition of Learn German with Stories: Ferien in Frankfurt - 10 Short Stories for Beginners.)

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dino and maybe the guy in the lost luggage office at the airport

What about André Klein’s performance did you like?

Clear and humorous

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The feckless but good-natured Dino knocks around Frankfurt for a bit.

Any additional comments?

Nicely written, gently humorous, subtle and appropriate sound effects. This is to help beginners learn German. It does just that. NB I nearly didn't buy it because the audio sample seemed really slow, certainly slower than book 1. and it might be, but only in places (the sample maybe isn't representative) but it really didn't matter.

Great for Learning German

A better story with more interesting chapters. I still find the narrator a bit jerky in delivery.

Better than Café in Berlin

Normally, a language textbook or phrasebook is not worth reviewing and strictly speaking this is a storybook, but there is something novel and engaging about Andre Klein's approach to the typical situational language learning formula. The story of Dino is off-beat enough to engage the listener who needs some just basic knowledge of the language ( A1+) to be able to follow and in doing so and learn/ refresh his/her German. its only an hours as well which is manageable.
I will now download another in the series.

Great tool to work along side your reading book.
Hopefully all the books in the series will be available soon on Audible

Whilst it won't win any awards for literature, as an aid to me learning German it was really helpful and I shall definitely try some of the other titles. I'm also using Duolingo and am at about 30% at the moment and could follow pretty much all of this.

Really useful learning aid
