The conclusion of Tad Williams' brilliant Bobby Dollar series.

Bobby Dollar thinks he's seen it all - after all, he's been to Hell and back again. Literally. But he has another thing coming.

Sleeping Late on Judgement Day will find Bobby back in his adopted hometown of San Judas, California, trying to stay out of trouble...and failing. His love life is still a mess, there are one too many people who have it out for him, and drowning his sorrows in a nice glass of whisky won't keep the demons at bay forever.

Bobby's going to have to pull himself together and make a few tough decisions before time runs out. The problem is, time could run out at any moment.

In the final Bobby Dollar novel in Tad Williams' groundbreaking epic fantasy trilogy, fallen angel Bobby Dollar will finally be forced to confront the one problem he can't talk his way out of: his own.

Fulfilling.

His characterisations are not secure.

No

Any additional comments?

This part of the Trilogy rescued the poorness of the second book but not to any great extent.

The Series is very much a Curate's Egg:

out of the three books in the series I think number two happy hour in hell is my favourite
the characters were very imaginative and the narrators vocal characterizations were right on the money except for book 3 but by then you're so wrapped up in the story your imagination takes over well done Tad Williams you have some imagination BTW this is my second time reading this series I probably will read it next year again

Got so lost I couldn't stop reading

Book three was 17 hrs. I thought this was in two parts so was confused when I heard Epilogue! The ending seemed to be leading into another phase, but no, that was the ending. If I did listen for 17 hrs then that says something about book three. Book two I was counting down every dragged out second. Enjoyed book one, mainly due to the narration and novelty of the storyline. The narration and accents in books two and three were terrible. Liked the concept but execution- nah!

Was that it?

A Decent story but ruined by narrator
Wish they’d stuck with actor from book 1

Dire narration

I enjoyed the performance. I disagree with reviews saying the change of performer had made it a subpar experience. I think the narrator managed to convey the protagonist's nature perfectly.

Tad Williams is a master of writing a satisfying conclusion without making immediately obvious.

I highly recommend this series.

A satisfying conclusion
