I enjoyed this from start to finish, the story moved well and held my attention to the end. Perhaps a little far fetched in places but didn't matter as I was immersed in this story.

Plenty of suspense, surprises and action set in a really gloomy world..

Performance was impeccable, well read and a good pace.

I enjoyed thoroughly.

I discovered Lars Kepler when I read The Hypnotist and The Nightmare and that took me to a new level of fiction. I pushed that books on people and they in turn loved it.
This book was of the same ilk. Gripping, fast paced and the twists and turns where I thought were predictable turned out to be anything but.
Sometimes slow in places, bear with it because the atmospheric descriptions helped drive the story. Loved this book!

this was my first book by this author i really enjoyed it, narrator spoiled it for me, sounds like shes reading to young children

good solid story

Reading Kepler's stories in chronological order, this has been the best read yet. The plot is a roller coaster of horror. The characterisation is finely observed, reminiscent of Simenon's psychological portraits.
I look forward to the next one.

Saul Reichlin is a master of foreign-language thriller audio, and he's used to really scary effect in this Scandi-horror with a kick-ass heroine and an even more kick-ass hero. The villain is the most frightening yet in the series. Must-listen
