Sadie Townsend is known by all as The Ice Princess and she’s worked hard to earn her reputation. Her father, a now-incarcerated Drug Lord, has kept her under his thumb her whole life, and she’s learned enough from living in his world to give everyone the cold shoulder. But one inebriated night, she shows Hector the Real Sadie, and he knows he’ll stop at nothing to have her. Hector Chavez makes one (huge) mistake: he waits for Sadie to come to him. Tragedy strikes, and Sadie’s got a choice. She can retreat behind her Ice Fortress, or she can embrace the Rock Chick/Hot Bunch World. Guided by Hector, the Rock Chicks, the Hot Bunch and her new gay roommates, Buddy and Ralphie, Sadie negotiates a life out from under her father’s thumb. A life that includes poison, arson and learning how to make s’mores.

I was pleasantly impressed with this book. It still has the funny and utterly amusing characters interaction as the other books, with plenty of action and sexy scenes but it also has some more weighty and emotional moments too. It not a “heavy” book but it is somehow less “fluffy” the some of the other books. Susannah Jones is OUTSTANDING in this book. Love, love, love her performance.

Great book. Amazing narration

Sadie has a great mask but nothing Hector can’t defrost. They are perfect for each other. Brilliant action packed storyline. It has triggers so be warned.

Fantastic performance

I always love Kristen Ashley's books but this time the narrator, Susannah Jones, out did herself. There is no other way to describe it other than brilliant. The depth of passion in her performance for a story line that was not comfortable and the portrayal of the caste of characters will probably not get the recognition she deserves.

Extraordinarily good narration
