When Destiny was only a child, her family was murdered and she was transformed into a Carpathian: a powerful and shadowy creature of the night, but not quite a vampire. Destiny shares a telepathic connection with Nicolae, her mentor. But now Nicolae needs to find her, or he may lose his soul and succumb to darkness forever.

New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan skillfully weaves strands of the paranormal and romance to create her suspense-filled novels.

Eleştirmen yorumları

"This out-of-the-ordinary romance is deeply sensuous with exquisitely detailed lovemaking and equally vivid paranormal battle scenes involving shape-shifting, running up walls, heaving fireballs, and dragons erupting from the earth. Although this is part of Feehan's popular Dark series, it's quite accessible to readers new to the world of the Carpathians." ( Booklist)

While the story doesn’t rank among my favourites I couldn’t get used to the narrator. His male voices, especially Nikolai, sounded more like I imagined the sinister vampire and the female voices were terrible. Would have preferred to read the book

I love this series.
And Destiny and her mate are one of my favourites in this series.
Descriptive characters and scenery. A fascinating story, an ongoing battle between good and evil. A females battle with her inner demon, and a male who only wants to help and possess her.

One of my favourites in this series
