Prior to making her final pledge as a druid, the young seer Sibeal visits the island of Inis Eala, where the Sight leads her to Felix, a survivor of a Norse shipwreck who has no memory of his past. As the island's healers struggle to keep Felix alive, he and Sibeal form a natural bond. But Sibeal's vocation is her true calling, and she must choose between the two things that tug at her soul - her spirituality and a chance at love...

Narrator way too slow. Speeded her up to 1.2× and things improved massively!
Story moved the Sevenwaters saga on, Not the best book in the series but worth a listen, once the reader is up to speed.

Narrator needs winding up

I listened to every single word. And it was on my mind all day . I could not wait to rush home and listen to more . The story is brilliant . The historical fantasy of a beautiful young woman s hardship to save her family. I have read all seven waters books and none disappointed me each story tells of a new woman fighting to survive just loved them all

Mind blowing

I love Ms Marillier's books and am slowly working my way through a reread via audiobook. This novel is perhaps not her best but still very enjoyable. But I am not a fan of Terry Donnelly as a reader. She is SO slow. I have to up the speed to 1.50 to makes it bearable. Do that and you'll have a better time.

Mystery and romance all in one

Love these books. The mixture of fairy tale & folk lore is engrossing and uplifting. Fantastic.

A change of narrator did this book no favours. The mens voices were awful, which is the only reason I dopped a star.

Narration let this book down.
