A year after becoming sheriff, Quinn Colson is faced with the release of an infamous murderer from prison. Jamey Dixon comes back to Jericho preaching redemption, and some believe him; but for the victim’s family, the only thought is revenge. Another group who doesn’t believe him - the men in prison from Dixon’s last job, an armored car robbery. They’re sure he’s gone back to grab the hidden money, so they do the only thing they can: break out and head straight to Jericho themselves. Colson and his deputy, Lillie, know they’ve got their work cut out for them. But they don’t count on one more unwelcome visitor: a tornado that causes havoc just as events come to a head. Communications are down, the roads are impassable - and the rule of law is just about to snap.

I am enjoying Quinns character developing steadily, his parallel love lives, his Ranger experiences, his fatherly manner of looking after his people, his relationship with Lillie and her connected life.

I love hearing about how people live and the conflicts between the law enforcement agencies.

I missed Quinn getting elected? & him leaving the Rangers, Not sure if it was in a book?

Wonderful series I have already bought the next one, and the one after….

Love being immersed in Jericho and its related happenings!

New Narrator but no change in quality . Atmospheric and brilliantly plotted with great characterization

Just as good as the first two.

Too much focus on sex and dirty talk. Just getting away from the initial mystery detective genre and now seems more about how rough, foul language and bare breasted women are in it. Disappointing.

Great books initially, now just a bit sleezy.
