It kept me entertained all the time, I usually put a talking book on and fall asleep at night, but this book kept me up all night, I just didn't want to miss a thing as it was fascinating, I felt as if I knew the characters, an absolutely brilliant read really,

Whilst I enjoy the book it was not her best but Me Before You is a hard act to follow. Excellent narrator

I have read quite a lot of JoJo Moyes books and they’re always a bit hit and miss. This one was okay and the story was pleasant enough to listen to. I didn’t feel any great empathy or have interest in the main characters so sadly for me not one of her best stories.  it passed the time, but I wouldn’t recommend .

The characters were brought to life magnificently by Clare Corbett. Couldn’t fault it. The more audio books I read the more I realise a good book can be destroyed by bad narration. This was top notch.

I think my problem might be the narrator. Her voice makes everything sound superficial and silly. There is very little change in intonation it quickly becomes irritating drivel. Very difficult to engage or take any of it seriously.
I had listened to the one about the library women of East Kentucky which was really excellent. But apparently plagiarised. So perhaps JoJo Moyes is actually quite lightweight and not that interesting as a writer.

Struggling to get to the end of this.
