Stephen King reads three of his classic short stories including 1408, now a feature film!

Enter a nightmarish mindscape of unrelenting horror and shocking revelations as the greatest storyteller of our time takes us inside a world of yearning and paranoia, isolation and addiction. It is the world of the smoker.

Stephen King's audio original story collection Blood and Smoke features the tale 1408, now a movie starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson.

Also inside are In the Deathroom and Lunch at the Gotham Café, both horrific tales of withdrawl, desperation, and unfiltered suspense. Anthologies Anthologies & Short Stories Horror Short Stories Suspense Thriller & Suspense

I love Stephen King. I have been collecting his books for as long as I can remember. These stories all appear elsewhere and I have read them all previously, and enjoyed them. This is a collection of three excellent stories, my only slight negative comments are:
1. I think that something King's character Paul Sheldon said in 'Misery' rings true - that you might be a good storywriter, but not necessarily a good storyteller! I was a little disappointed with Stephen King's narration. Found it somewhat bland.
2. The topic this is supposedly based on, smoking, is rather a loose connection at best.
But these are minor complaints really, the stories themselves are great and I enjoyed listening to them, after having read them before.

Masterful storyweaver, so-so narrator
