The sweeping oral saga surrounds the birth of Christianity and the very personal story of Leah, a woman compelled into a betrothal she never wanted yet drawn by a faith she never expected. When her family's wealth and power are lost forever, Leah is sent to Pontius Pilate in hopes that he might arrange a strategic marriage for her. When she finds herself betrothed to a centurion named Alban, she views it as a fate worse than death. Alban, head of the garrison near Galilee, has ambitions that could one day see him at the seat of power - Rome. Eager to prove himself, he takes on the assignment of a lifetime, one that will put his career, his beliefs, and his life at risk. But when the death and missing body of an obscure rabbi compel Leah and Alban to search for answers, what they discover changes everything. Historical Romantik Evlilik Ortadoğu

If you could sum up The Centurion's Wife in three words, what would they be?

Biblical, Historical, endearing

What other book might you compare The Centurion's Wife to, and why?

Previous fiction on historical biblical fact.

Have you listened to any of Aimee Lilly’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This one is good

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the Centurian realised who Jesus really is

Any additional comments?

Our 21st century lives and customs are so far removed from life under Roman rule and Jewish life, that these stories give an insight to how it was then and help us to understand the Bible better and that nothing is new under the sun.

A very possible situation

I loved it. I couldn't stop listening to it. Follow a young woman through the intrigue within the palace gates and through her personal encounter with the resurrection of Jesus.

Great story

Decent book, fair history, decent clean Christian romance based around the time of Christ’s ascension. Lovely story- good audio- but super old and American
