Just a great storyteller.

Where does Avenger rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Pretty good read 7 out of 10. I hadn't read Forsyth's stuff for a while but have kicked off with this book and just realyl enjoyed it. Found myself engrossed in the story and would recommend it to anyone who likes this type of yarn.

What other book might you compare Avenger to, and why?

It has to be COBRA the follow up to AVENGER.

Have you listened to any of Eric Conger’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Not to my knowledge.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Great thriller.

Any additional comments?

Good story,well read

Excellent

Thanks to Audible I’ve become a Forsyth devotee & I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I listened to The Cobra, the follow-up to Avenger, beforehand but despite being out of order it didn’t affect my enjoyment. If you like Forsyth then you’ll like this. Eric Conger was a good narrator too.

AVENGER

this is my favourite listen. I never get tired of the story line which in my opinion is very cleverly crafted and extremely informative of the events of the time one of the best listen for a long time

Well researched

A gripping and well researched story. I learned a lot about the conflict in the former Yugoslavia. But the narrator mispronounced several words, which was very weird and irritating.

Avenger-Not what I expected!

Would you listen to Avenger again? Why?

Yes, I would definitely listen again, there was so much to hear and compute, I listened to several passages more than once.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the way that I was introduced to our hero, the story was set and then I was sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting!

Which character – as performed by Eric Conger – was your favourite?

Of course, The Avenger, was the one in which I was most interested. I enjoyed his two, separate characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I wasn't moved, but the death of Calvin's wife and child proved a necessity for his ability to become, The Avenger.

Great story, interestingly researched

Forsyth back to his best. Great story with lots of interesting and important historical background with a moral dilemma wound in. Well narrated apart from his efforts at an English accent and an appalling South African one, but it didn’t really matter.
