Classic Brookmyre
Jack at his best, quick witted cynical self. An interesting subject matter with some great explanations and great carryover of old characters (got to love spammy)

Yet another excellent story with heaps of sarcasm
This author is my absolute favourite. An unusual approach to a crime novel, sharp wit, keeping me riveted every minute by the superb narrator

JUST BUY IT!!!
I considered the other reviews about this book...and decided to ignore them. Angus King is a great performer and to write about terrible 'accents' just means you missed out on the great humour of the storyline. If you like Chris Brookmyre's work...you'll love this.

Great as always but ...
I first read this several years ago, when my mum was alive and interested on "woo", it was funny then. its still funny and interesting and all I'll say is that although the practices described in the story may be true for some, thats not how all mediums work and the challenge today is sorting out those more gifted from the others.

good with some tedium
really clever story but some of the narrative in support of the believers is a bit long and unimaginative. Normally rewarded with a laugh bit often leaving you debating continuing listening

Not his best
Maybe I’m just ‘over’ my ability to enjoy Brookmyre’s novels. There is none of the freshness and anarchism I remember.
This story is effectively a vessel for a rant against religion and the gullibility of the faithful. It does date from the era of clam mobiles so I guess it just seems a bit done to death by 2020.

A comic masterpeice of calling out bullsh!t
I gist read this book the week it was published in hardback . Years later u find it in audible and listened again. And again. There is non finer than Brookmyre. I particularly like that he pulls no punches in calling out the billsh!t that it held sacred to the overly credulous.
