Summary

Sadhu Sundar Singh, also known as “The Apostle of the Bleeding Feet”, was a famous Christian monk and itinerant preacher. He travelled barefoot around India, Nepal and Tibet, preaching the Gospel in villages and towns as he went along.

After he encountered Christ in a vision as a teenager, he decided to serve as a monk owning nothing more than a set of clothes, a thin blanket, and a New Testament. He endured much suffering and was often persecuted for sharing the Gospel. Following his two world preaching tours, he became known for his intimacy with Christ and his teachings on prayer. Some Christians are disheartened by a lack of spiritual maturity in current writings. They long for answers to spiritual questions believers commonly have and desire clarity on topics central to Christ and the faith.

At the Master’s Feet explores six of these topics and offers astounding insight into questions that have bothered many sincere believers through the ages. Those with some experience in the spiritual life will quickly perceive the value of this book which comes from a profoundly spiritual man who walked very closely with Christ. This book will challenge you to grow in your prayer life and encourage you to develop greater intimacy with Christ.

A must-listen for true believers in God

What an inspiration. I always have been an admirer of monks that go beyond what is humanely possible in the name of God.I find the monk's journey in Sadhu’s story absolutely fascinating, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the book. Sometimes we forget about God in our busy mundane lives, but when it is the most difficult, we always turn His way to look for directions and forgiveness. I will definitely go back to this book when I need some inspiration and guidance because the wisdom in it is beyond comprehension. Strongly recommending.

Great Listen and Inspirational!

I have always believed in human superpowers and achieving them through being a monk and using deep meditation. I enjoyed listening to this book as It provides tons of stories that help us reach our own spiritual path. I loved the communication the monk had with God, it gives a shift to our perspective that will help us deal with spiritual guidance in order to manifest a world that has many problems in society. Great spiritual journey. Highly recommend it to those wanting to lift their spirits and beliefs!

A book full of truth and enlightenment.

This book is very single-minded in diving deep into the matters of faith and discussing subjects that often get glossed over. It is certainly the type of book which will make you think very deeply about the subjects contained within. I have not given it full marks, as I was not taken by the narrator, who I feel came across as lacking emotion.

Conversations with God...

I recently came across this little known Christian classic, which I hope many more readers will now be able to reach for. This new edition looks refreshing and is very well executed.
The book itself is a deep, prayerful conversation between Jesus and a disciple, who has many difficult questions. The Master gives the answers guiding him directly through the Bible.
Insightful and very inspirational, but also very well founded in the knowledge of the Word and its interpretation from a Christian point of view.

Informative

The author did an awesome job in putting their knowledge and experience into audiobook. Although I’m not a monk, nor christian, I found this audiobook really inspiring and wants me to grow my relationship with God. I really liked the chapters on Sin and Salvation, and Prayer. Great narration by Jason Gerber too!

Inspirational and Relatable!

The monk’s personal encounter changed the whole narrative, pointing to the fact that a genuine encounter is what set one on the right path in following the Lord.
An inspiration for anyone who wholeheartedly wants to follow the Lord.
