Summary

There comes a time when a man has to pursue what he knows is the love of a lifetime.

A tragedy that occurred while Claire Fowler was working in Algiers sends her back to the States to grieve the friends she lost. She can't get out of her mind that she could have been one of the victims had she not decided at the last minute to forgo a night out with her friends. Now she's not only dealing with grief but with guilt.

Dr. Logan Montgomery is convinced he fell in love with Claire when he first met her three years ago, thanks to his brother Lance, who married Claire's younger sister, Asia. Logan can't get out of his mind that Claire could have been one of the victims. He knows the emotions she is dealing with and is determined to help her get through them. Logan also knows it's time to pursue the woman he loves. She will be leaving to return to Algiers in a month, and he is determined to do whatever it takes to capture her heart before that happens.

Love love it

Brenda Jackson is one the best author that writ about true romance. The kind dreams are made of. Her story always makes you want more. I truly enjoy this book. But, even though I like the person reading it voice there were times he didn’t show the emotion that was need. But I still love love it.

Finally

I love how this book tells a few stories instead of just the main characters. I didn't like that Logan went through this elaborate plan instead of just telling Claire how he felt but I enjoyed their journey none the less. I was so happy that Mr. Jeremiah found Ms. Thea that was so sweet. I have to find the rest of this series because I'm dying to know what Edwina did. It was cool that Shawn found love with his best friend because that's the way it should be . Disappointed in Lance's behavior towards Shawn at the airport. You got the woman and if you're secure in your marriage then her past shouldn't matter. Get over yourself already. Not sad at all about what happened to David because he was a douche, And I love how womanizers in her stories eventually meet the business and if someone's gun. Stop playing with these women's emotions and stop playing with OPP it may not end well. Overall, Brenda Jackson does it again. I love her 📚.Audible audio gets a thumbs up.

Good read

Ron Butler the narrator was wonderful as usual. The story itself was predictable. I would have loved some twist and turns like some of the new spy type books she is writing like Midnight Hour. I'm hooked on those. I read that one three times already.

Multiple Story Lines

Not a fan of multiple storylines in one book. I would rather have one fully developed story. The switching back and forth became annoying.

Variety

Variety is the spice of life. Having more than one romantic suit made listening really easy. Enjoyed how the back stories intertwined with each other. Mr Butler is an excellent narrator!
