Summary

Number-one New York Times best seller Sherrilyn Kenyon brings us the final chapter in the Deadman's Cross saga with At Death's Door, an epic pirate fantasy perfect for her millions of Dark-Hunter fans.

Welcome to the latest Deadmen’s Quest....

Valynda Moore was born cursed. So when she dies as the result of a spell gone wrong and is trapped in the body of a voodoo doll, she expects nothing else from her messed-up life. Until Thorn, leader of the Hellchasers, offers her a chance at redemption and a new life.

But nothing has ever gone her way, for the Malachai, the very beast she and her crew of Deadmen have sworn to keep locked away, has risen. And this time he’s taken prisoners. Valynda must keep her wits about her or be denied her salvation and forced to watch as the entire world falls into the hands of absolute evil.

It’s a demon-eat-demon world where the stakes have never been higher and either redemption or the ultimate betrayal waits for her At Death’s Door.

KENYON FAN BUT STRUGGLED WITH THIS ONE

Filled this book with too much word play on feelings and repeating. How many times can you describe self loathing? Or doomdom? OMG I wanted to scream evrytime someone started quoting something about trust, honesty, or loyalty. I got the tone she was sitting within the first few chapters. But did she have to keep revisiting the feelings and emotions dam near every scene? Im a fan and wanted to hear how it all played out but really...I could have just read the Cliff notes on this one.

Not as good as normal

While I have greatly enjoyed her other books, this one seems very chaotic. I did enjoy Ash, Simi, and Savitar.

it was ok

Not real thrilled with this book. Needed more depth and character. Very anticlimactic waited for a big bold ending, very disappointed.

Another great story, but a slow start

I enjoyed the story, however the start was slow and very confusing I think I listened to the first 3 chapter like 5 times before i finally caught the story line. So stick with it you won't be disappointed.

Love lost and found again

Here's to get another fantastic tale of deep lore and feelings from a great author. Sherrilyn has a profound deep understanding of love lost and a deep belief it can be found again.

It was okay

Shoo much flip flopping and complaining about their "dark" pasts. I wish you could skip 90% of that., but then there wouldn't be much content.

Absolutely epic!

Sherrilyn Kenyon, once again, swept me into a story so phenomenal I was transported. Valynda played such a huge part in bringing about this third book that I was left gasping, crying, and ready to pull my own sword to help the crew. Holter Graham is as epic as the story as he not only brought the story to life but each and every character he portrayed. This is a mind blowing ending...or is it the beginning?
