Haytham's Story (Connor is barely in it)

Well-written. Really expands on AC universe. Just wish the narrator knew how to pronounce "Haytham"...

the best AC book yet

ditching the third person narrative and going for a diary style first person this book is a good story, excellently read and with a deep and often conflicted protagonist.

Excellent book that transfers your imagination

Excellent book for anyone interested in AC universe, world history, American Independence Revolution. The book raises a lot of questions about morale, duty, dedication, and leadership. The book also gives an excellent overview about Templar's order as opposed to Assassin's order and highlights strengths and weaknesses of both. In my opinion the book is better than a game although you can play a game after reading a book to compare the plots. Highly intense but quite depressing at the end-the only caveat!

overall pretty decent

an interesting alternate look at the assassins creed universe and hearing Hatham Kenway's perspective, just wish the narrator pronounce Haytham correctly, that got slightly irritating quite quickly

Best assasins creed book in the series for me.

It was good to see the world by a templars eyes! And looking how he was changing. Thanks for it!

So intriguing!

I personally loved the Journal entry styled writing. It was a fun way to get into Haytham's head. If you enjoy Assassin's Creed you will like this book. Depending on your love of the characters will determine your overall opinion any further. I, myself, love Connor and Edward. So getting some background and filler was an enjoyable experience. Hopefully this helps aide anyone's decisions.

Nothing is true...

I love the story and the characters!! The voice actor reading this book bothers me a bit. He constantly mispronounces the main characters name "Haytham" saying it like "Hat-em" and when there was GERMAN character he made a Scottish accent. Made things very confusing. But with that said he did very well with the character of Haytham.
