Summary

Sunlight is beginning to spill across the Malibu coastline as I begin this preface. And the deep indigo tint of the Pacific Ocean at this time of the morning seems to match the depth of pleasure I'm feeling as I'm imagining the value you're about to receive from the revelations within this book.

Ask and It Is Given is certainly a book about our ''asking'' being answered by all-that-is. But it's primarily about how whatever we're asking for is being given to us - and it's also the first book to ever, in such clear terminology, give us the simple practical formula for how to ask for, and then how to receive, whatever we want to be, do, or have. Decades ago, while searching for plausible answers to my never-ending quest to know what ''it'' is all about, I discovered the word ineffable (meaning ''incapable of being expressed in words''). Ineffable coincided with a conclusion I'd formed relative to it. I had decided that the closer we get to knowing the ''non-physical,'' the fewer words we have for clearly expressing it. And so, any state of complete knowing would also, therefore, be a state of ineffability. In other words, at this point in our time-space reality the non-physical cannot be clearly expressed with physical words. Throughout physical history, we've evolved to, through, and into billions of philosophies, religions, opinions, and beliefs. Yet, with the billions upon billions of thinkers thinking, concluding, and passing their beliefs on to the next generations, we have not - at least not in any words we can agree on - found physical words to express the non-physical.

This book offers you a hands-on course in spiritual practicality. It's a how-to book in the broadest sense of the term - that is, how to be, do, or have anything that pleases you. This book also teaches you how not to be, do, or have anything that displeases you.-Jerry

Superb content but chapters are missing in audio

I thoroughly enjoyed the listen; however, I was disappointed with the end of the Audible version. The audio books continent ends after Part 2 Process 16 Pivoting. The remaining processes up to 22 and the end of the book are not there.

Change the way you think

I really enjoyed this audio book, I have taken onboard some of the messages and I am choosing my thoughts more carefully, and although I have not seen anything I desire manifest just yet, I do feel happier. I will repeat again in a few weeks. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to open their mind and discover inner happiness.

A "woowoo" book with solid lovely informaation:)

I was pretty sceptical at first with this book, because I have a bit new ageism anxiety.
But gladly I proceed litening, this book has solid informaation what law of attraction is and practical ways to use it. Absolutely loved it!
Much love:)

Really good! However

This is a really great book, however for someone new to manifestation and LOA, I found it quite confusing at parts. Definitely a book for more than a one time read!

Absolute rubbish

I feel a bit ashamed of myself for buying this. Anyone with any life experience knows that a lot of the law of attraction is complete rubbish. I foolishly thought this book would offer something more having sent it recommended. It has zero depth. The whole book is basically just a variation of riffs on the idea your thoughts create your life. If you just ramble to yourself about this idea for a few hours you will get as much benefit as reading this book. Don’t know they can get away with charging for this stuff (though obviously I was fooled). The narrator also isn’t great.

Last 5 Processes and Glossary are missing.

Loved the book, disappointed that the last 5 Processes and Glossary are missing from it.

Can listen on a loop

I thought that having Jerry read this would be off-putting as I am more used to Esther's voice but it didn't make a difference at all and the message shone through!

I had to turn it off

I pushed myself to listen into chapter 2 and then I had to turn it off. It’s Incredibly monotonous and repetitive. Perhaps reading the book is better but the narrator actually repeats the same story over and over again. I thought I had somehow rewound The Audible because if I heard him mention the metaphor about driving in a a car at 100 miles an hour and hitting a tree 20 more times I would have screamed.

If you’re interested in how your thoughts are vibrations and how to manifest your desires check out Neville Goddard. Although there are a lot of references to the Bible, his explanation of how imagination creates reality is a lot more easily digestible.

Inspirational and appreciated

I enjoyed hearing the reading! At first I had to slow the speed to 0.75x but then after I adjusted to the speed of his speech, I went back to 1.0x and it was good. I appreciate this book so much that I bought the physical copy and I intend to read it as well. Thank you, Abraham, Jerry and Esther!

great processes given in the book.

I can see myself listening to this 100 times a year. The first time just listen, second time take short notes and write down chapters that inspired the note. Third time do one of the processes and repeat it then review and observe how things begin to come to you or signs and yearnings or hunches lead you to where you need to be.

Great explanation of Law of Attraction

I expected Esther Hicks to narrate because I always listen to her released workshops on YouTube. It was interesting listening to her husband Jerry narrate the text, knowing full well that he passed away not too long ago. I really enjoyed hearing the teachings on Law of Attraction in this organized format. It clarifies a lot, and is one of the best trusted resources when Im envisioning a goal, prospect, or anything else I want!

To Less than 5 Star Reviews

To the people who reviewed the book and couldnt either get to page 113 “The Different Degrees of Your Emotional Scale” 5/8 through the book) or didn’t understand the book..

The book actually starts on page 113, all pages before that build up and explain how thought can be used as a tool to raise your emotional states, if you’re not as spiritually advanced yet you’ll put it down.. but with patience, those EXACT proven processes start in Part 2 just after page 113.. if you haven’t gotten this far and put a bad review on the book too quickly well.. Ram Dass said suffering is part of our training program to becoming wise, so you just need to suffer more, or when you’re ready.

I’ve read hundreds of books on spirituality and being disciplined and masterful with thought is how to climb the heights of spirituality, if you understand that the mind (thought) is the one that creates anxiety and suffering what do you think it could do if you used it the right way? Why do you think you ever feel good in the first place? It’s because your senses reacted to a good stimulus and thought is an internal stimulus whether you agree with me or not, it can be used to change your emotional state. Get masterful and mindful of thought and change your life.

A great book with good messages and tips

Great book that reminds one to be grateful & let the universe deal with your wants and desires. Few points on improvements- I felt the reader was reading a bit too fast / rushed. The book could have given more examples / stories on Allowing. A lot of people know & ask for what they want... but I bet they don’t know how to Allow.....
Overall, I am grateful for the messages.

Must Read for all Creators!!

I thought this would be yet another redundant “law of attraction” or “The Secret” book, which also served their purpose by the way, but this book was delightful...it is much like an advanced course on Manifesting!! Thank you!!

Her husband died of Cancer

1. They claim we attract everything, disease and even rape. Children being born into poverty attract it.. its ridiculous
2. They connect with spirits in seconds, also ridiculous
3. They claim we attract disease and that we cure ourselves with our thought, Jerry Hicks dies of cancer
