Short chat with Johnny Marr

In this short interview Johnny Marr talks about his music and his fascination with the creative process, his recent work and his plans for the future. Astonishingly, Marr was only 23 when The Smiths disbanded and for the past 30 years he has worked on his solo career and collaborated with many amazing musicians along the way to create some incredible music. I loved his notion that when he buys a new guitar, it already has the music in it. The inevitable question of a Smiths reunion is discussed but Johnny is a true artist who is always looking forward not wanting to dwell on past glories. I look forward to hearing the audio book version of his recently released autobiography Set the Boy Free.
