Summary

The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Clive and Dirk Cussler's imaginative adventure Arctic Drift, read by the award-winning narrator Scott Brick.

A potential breakthrough discovery to reverse global warming...a series of unexplained sudden deaths in British Colombia...a rash of international incidents between the United States and one of its closest allies that threatens to erupt into an actual shooting war....

NUMA director Dirk Pitt and his children, Dirk. Jr. and Summer, have reason to believe there's a connection here somewhere, but they also know they have very little time to find it before events escalate out of control. Their only real clue might just be a mysterious silvery mineral traced to a long-ago expedition to find the fabled Northwest Passage. But no one survived from that doomed mission; captain and crew perished to a man - and if Pitt and his colleague Al Giordino aren't careful, the very same fate may await them.

Filled with the breathtaking suspense and audacious imagination that have become his hallmarks, this is a tour de force, further proof that when it comes to adventure writing, nobody beats Clive Cussler.

Audio v written word

A good book but I prefer the written version as it wasn't as gripping to listen to. Generally a very good author whom I'd always recommend.

Another fine performance by Dirk Pitt and co!

Where does Arctic Drift rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Love Dirk Pitt and the adventures he gets up too. Very descriptive narration so I loved listening to it and picturing the scene.

What did you like best about this story?

All the characters involved played a pivotal role and the book. Loved when the running theme of characters lives makes advances and continues into the next story..... I hope!

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The tit for tat journey between Pitt and the enemy trying to find the treasure. I couldn't wait to see what would happen next!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did but the narrators voice is so soothing I relax too much and nod off. Looked forward to listening to as much as I could every night.

Any additional comments?

Can't wait for another Dirk Pitt novel!
