About this listen

Sir Roger Parkes is a man of some influence in the West Country. When he loses touch with his youngest daughter, he has a word with the Assistant Chief Constable of the local force. I really feel I know the characters. It’s not often a series of books that really appeal. Love Summer Laine and her personality. Hope there will be more.

I have enjoyed listening to this series of books and hope there will be more very soon. I really enjoy Peter Grainger’s books, and love all the characters. Regarding the narration by Henrietta Meire, she has a very pleasant voice, and very good diction, but I wish she wouldn’t try to use accents, as her attempts are not good!
