The best word to describe Toni and Maya’s relationship is “frenemies”. Although Maya has always outwardly acted supportive of Toni’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend Ty, she has been nursing bitterness and hate for years. Revenge has been the singular force driving Maya forward.
Now, she has a handsome fiancé of her own and a thriving career, but not all is what it appears. Her beau, Steven, has secrets of his own. Not only is he not interested in Maya, he’s not interested in women at all!
He and his lover Ricky have been meeting behind Maya’s back as she plans her wedding. They think that it’s the perfect con, but Ricky’s ex-wife threatens to ruin the lifestyle they have cultivated.
Maya isn’t the only one who would do anything to live the perfect life. Meanwhile, Toni and Ty struggle to find some security after the attack, but an old friend has Toni contemplating her relationship and her future.
When Toni discovers some startling information about Steven and Ricky, she will have to decide what to do with the information. Maya is determined to let nothing ruin her perfect day, and Toni might just be standing in her way!
