Summary
"A captivating, heart-aching, and beautifully written book. The best story I've heard this year." (J. Bengtsson, best-selling author of The Cake Series)
Once, I had everything.
Drummer for the biggest band in the world.
Fame. Money. Happiness.
All at my fingertips.
Then, six years ago, my world stopped turning.
My best friend. My best girl. A burning field in the pouring rain.
I survived, but I left the biggest part of me with them.
And now I sift through the rubble of my broken life.
I didn't want a second chance.
Redemption. Closure.
Not for me.
Until Gelsey
A dancer. A dreamer.
Everything I'm not.
She's the dark to my light.
My sun from another sky.
But sunny days never last.
The storm is coming.
And this time when darkness falls, I might surrender.
Another Sky is a stand-alone rock star romance set in Austin, Texas, with ties to the Sixth Street Bands Series.

Enlightening
I love this book, this is definitely going to have a couple of relistens it's an amazing storyline the narrators were fantastic.
I fell in love with the characters the performance of the narrators was phenomenon. The journey through loss, grief, depression, acceptance and healing. Along the way find love.
Jacob Morgan's performance was top notch, Desirée Ketchum is new to me but her performance was brilliant.
Thanks to Jayne Frost for this journey

The Sun and the Moon and All Stars
Jayne Frost amazed me with Another Sky. This book is Miles and Gelsey's journey. The imagery in this book is so well done, and the emotions fitting. I love how the author is able to deliver a message within the story, and tie it to everyday life. The humor she injects is also so fitting. There was plenty of steam and chemistry too! This book is both a standalone listen and has mention of characters from previous books. I loved the flashbacks to some of the 6th Street band characters.
Jacob Morgan and Desiree Ketchum both impressed me with their performances. I could feel their emotions, and thought they each brought all the characters to life with their distinguishable voices. I especially loved their Russian accents.
This book will stick with me for a long time, and I highly recommend this story.

Miles & Gelsey are life!
Jayne Frost's name should be known wide and far. Her extraordinary talent for writing deeply emotional stories, that stay with you for a long time, always gets me like a visceral sucker punch and every time I experience one of her stories I fall in love with the characters. Miles and Gelsey are no different.
If you know this author and thought DOWN TO YOU was her best book, prepare for ANOTHER SKY. I'm not saying it's better, it isn't. But that's because Logan and Tori hold a special place in my heart and it's hard to live up to them. But you know what? Gelsey and Miles did. I adored Gelsey's pure heart and innocence. The way she looked at the world, wide-eyed, open although she wasn't a stranger to disappointment and setbacks.
Miles couldn't have asked for a better partner in life. After the tour bus accident we learned about in the Sixth Street Bands series, when he lost his love Paige and best friend Rhenn, Miles stopped living and fell into an uneasy existence. He battles demons that go beyond this accident, and my heart ached for both of them when things tumbled out of control. I loved that he ultimately realized that giving up isn't an option if he wanted to live a full life with Gelsey at his side.
If you missed Taryn from LOST FOR YOU you get the chance to catch up with her a little. I adored Miles and Taryn's friendship, how much love there was between them. We get some hilarious scenes with Daryl, a bodyguard forced on Miles by Tori - their snarky exchanges were my favorite thing and I kind of think that this is a bromance in the making. And then there is Ivan, Gelsey's mentor, who is the only father figure she ever really had in her life. He seems so stern, hard and unrelenting but he has a buttery-soft spot for Gelsey. I loved him almost as much as the two leads.
The single most important theme in Ms. Frost's stories is music. It's so present that it seems like its a separate character. This time ballet dance joins in and I loved reading about Gelsey's practices and performances.
Both narrators do an amazing job breathing life into these characters. While Jacob Morgan is well known and always delivers. Desiree Ketchum is a fresh young voice I hadn't heard before Another Sky. She was perfect for Gelsey!
This story isn't dark. It gives you as the audience hope with its light, beautiful moments. ANOTHER SKY is like life - it shows you that everyone - rich or poor, famous or not - has their burden to carry but that there is always hope. Wrapped in Jayne Frost's gorgeous, descriptive writing this story will make you smile, swoon and sniffle a little. She gets me every time. Every. Time.

A beautiful angsty story that will fill your heart up
I honestly don’t know what I am getting into. Should have prepare my heart to be torn open and then fill back up again. Jayne wrote such a beautiful story about love, redemption and acceptance. She wrote from such a persona space that you can feel it in the journey that Miles went through. Love JM’s portrayal and depiction of Miles. Part douch, part vulnerable, totally worthwhile. Desiree’s portrayal is heartwarming, sweet and strong willed. Love her Russian accent. Honestly it’s Jayne’s own words at the end that made me cry the most.

Another amazing experience!
I had the privilege of proofing this audio and have since listened again. Sometimes you connect with a book in a way that is difficult to explain. This is my favorite of the Sixth- Street-related books so far. This story is not about "instalove". Sometimes you lose yourself in guilt, loss, grief, PTSD, and depression. It can last for years, or even be permanent for some people. It takes someone special to help you push yourself to something more, something potentially devastating but also potentially amazing! This book takes you on the journey of healing and finding all-encompassing love along with these complex characters.
Performances are excellent! We all know to expect AWESOME with Jacob Morgan. Desireé Ketchum is new to me, but I enjoyed proofing this audio and look forward to hearing more books performed by her.

Miles and Gelsey!
There is something about the writing style of Jayne Frost that drags me into her world and keeps me there for the entire story. I have listened to her entire Sixth Street Band series, and when Miles comes up, I am always intrigued by his character. I am so glad he is now getting his story told. Miles is a survivor of a terrible accident, claiming the lives of several of his bandmates, one very close to him. Learning to live with being a survivor is not easy, but he carries more than that over the incident, falls to his depression and is now years later trying to find his way back to the living. He will need help though, not just mentally but physically. Gelsey is a ballerina, shadowed by the fame of her mother, trying to break out and become her own person. She is on her way, but is in desperate need of money, and Miles may have a way to help her out. When the two lives collide, life changes and their stories begin. Frost intricately and compassionately weaves in so much into this, I don't even know where to start. There is family history, happiness and disappointment, friendships that cannot be broken, hope, guilt, tragedy, you name it, and it is there. It has some angst, but written in a way that you aren't pulled down by it, but find the hope and chance to change the sky. It's my favorite of her books, not only because the story is so amazing, but the awareness brought to light of depression. It's not sugar coated, but lets us feel the pain and darkness and how it can be dealt with...or not. And the inclusion of little things, like poems and flowers, benches and skies. It's a beautiful listen and makes me appreciate how good life can be.
Frost's decision to use Deriree Ketchum and Jacob Morgan was perfection. This casting brought all the emotions, all the feelings and every scene alive. I love Kecthum's voice. She has the best nuances and inflections, and she found her place as Gelsey. Morgan brought the brooding, Miles to life, finding his darkness and light and making him real. The team was amazing!

Great story, but too long. 💜
This was a wonderful and powerful story. That being said, it felt like in was about 4 hours too long.
The narration was great!

On the Fence...
So, I'll start this by saying I've already "read" all of the books (Caged and Damaged) - and I was excited to listen to this audible book because, one, I liked the story, and, two, the narration of Jacob Morgan. He knows how to tell the story, and even his "female" voice is good. The downside to this is the other narrator, Desiree, and I just can't stomach her voice. I'm doing my best to get through this book, the only thing keeping me going is when Jacob starts a chapter. Desiree's voice is way too child like, and she speaks too slowly. That being said, it's not completely horrible - just really hard to get through her chapters at times. Personally - I think this audible book would have been way better with just Jacob narrating it all the way. Not sure I'll finish this book since I know the story already - but I'm not sure it was worth my credit. Sorry Jacob!

Depression is a real thing and not to be taken lightly. I loved this story and how the author portrayed the characters. Jacob Morgan did an exceptional job with the narration .

“Jacob Morgan” WAS Miles Cooper. His acting skills, because that’s what theyphenomenal. Any book he or...well I won’t
“Jacob Morgan” WAS Miles Cooper! His acting abilities, cause that’s what they, are are phenomenal. Any book he or...well I won’t expand in that thought ...narrates, I will read, and he NEVER disappoints. Nice story. Had some martyr moments which I hate but I almost listened to it straight thru.

This story is heartbreakingly beautiful!
This is my first book by Jayne Frost an it is absolutely magnificent. I love how this author tells this story. This book is extremely well written and narrated. To me this story’s message is not to give up on love and that everyone deserves to be loved. This story had me going through a roller coaster of emotions throughout the book. Don’t get me wrong the story had me laughing and crying. This is a fantastic storyline that will remain with me throughout life.
The narrator’s do an amazing job with the characters and voices of each character. I was extremely impressed with their work. Through there narrations it helps you feel the emotions of each of the characters. Both narrator’s do a fabulous job with the accents. I definitely recommend this book! It’s a must read/listen!
