Summary

How to stop being so angry as a parent and start learning how to empathize, resolve tantrums calmly, and achieve a more peaceful household, even if you can’t seem to stop yelling.

When your child is yelling, screaming, not doing as they’re told, and running amok, what’s usually your first reaction? Do you:

  • Stare at the wall and wish it would all just go away?
  • Calmly corral them and work through the issue together, as a family team?
  • Yell and scream back, getting both yourself and your child more worked up in the process?

If you answered the third option, this book is exactly the guide you need to learn how to avoid those emotional outbursts and teach yourself how to work past anger to find resolutions.

So what can you do when emotions are running high and your first instinct is to start tearing your hair out? That’s where anger management comes in.

Through the lessons and examples in this book, you’ll quickly realize that there are so many other options besides anger that can not only end tantrums and meltdowns, they can also help you bond with your child.

Anger Management for Parents will help you discover:

  • Exactly what makes parents angry
  • What anger is and why it’s programmed in us
  • How to connect with your child through compassion
  • The best anger management skills for parents

And so much more!

Being a parent is hard. Learn how to make it easier on yourself and your child. After all, your child is your baby, and don’t you want to find out how to give them the best chance at life?

This is probably the most helpful parenting

This is probably the most helpful parenting audiobook I have ever listen. I believe it works well for all children. Hasn't everyone encountered someone having an emotional explosion? Well, it's nice to know a good way to handle it and to understand what drives those explosive moments.

An informative audiobook

This book was easy to listen and, although it seemed to take a little longer to get to the method itself, I kept interested because the examples were so practical. I love a child with issues just like these, and it was a relief to know we aren't alone.

I found this audiobook to be very helpful

I found this audiobook to be very helpful in dealing with an explosive child. It offered explanations as to how they think and react in different situations and it is helping me understand my grandson in a way that I didn't before I listen this.

This helped me change my approach

This helped me change my approach to parenting my son. The way I was raised wasn't cutting it with him. A lot of what's in this audiobook is not profound, but when you are in the weeds with a "difficult" kid, it's hard to see another way and get out.

very informative and well detailed

I finished it in a single day. It was really lovely to have a more psychology textbook styled parenting book rather than a book of tricks and tips. This book explains the root, benefit, and problem that anger comes from and initiates both in children and into adults with a special focus on the chemical reactions it sends through the body and the effect they have over time and why.

For example the more you start to lash out or lose control, the easier it is to get to that point in a shorter amount of time the next time you're angry.

I've never been an angry person, but I feel like I live in a state of rage and denial over this last year.

That simple connection made me feel less insane and understand how to begin to navigate getting back to not being angry at every mishap.

I feel like this book has changed my life, and I'm so grateful.

If you have a strong, willful child and you find yourself losing your $hit more and more, please give this book a listen. I've read all the books, I love montessori, but this book is something else entirely. I feel educated and informed about my parenting style, body, and mindset.

Most importantly, this book helped me begin to understand how to forgive myself.

Excellent book on anger management!

I’ve received a ton of great insights by listening to this audiobook. It showed me that I was in control of my anger, and that anger wasn’t controlling me.

Couldn’t wait for it to finish

Vague, talks about obvious reasons behind anger but not too many helpful out of the box tools on how to manage your anger. Has many contradicting points in the book. Started “ peaceful parent happy kids“ not even a third of the way through the book and I’ve had way more a-ha moments than this.
