Anger is a completely normal, healthy human emotion. But when it gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems - at work, in personal relationships, and in the overall quality of life. Anger Management for Dummies provides trusted and authoritative information on anger management methods, skills, and exercises that will help you or a loved one identify sources of anger and release them healthily.
Anger has become one of the most intimate issues in today's world - as life, in general, has become increasingly stressful.... Although this book was comprehensive, I didn't come away with what I was hoping for: a quick fix. After reading it, I couldn't really articulate practically what needed to be done. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention... probably due to my next point.
The first few chapters seem more suited for the Dummies printed book format as there are too many bullet points/titles/small sections - I just got lost in the audio version. There should be more auditory pointers as to what is a title, a bullet point etc. Either way, I don't think this book works in audio format. A more effective format would be longer flowing sections. I couldn't listen to this book at 1.25x or 1.5x as I do with most others. I didn't encounter this issue as much with another Dummies audiobook I listened to.
I also wasn't too keen on the voice initially - too advertise-ey - but I got use to it.
