About this listen

It was a drama about friendship, addiction, and loyalty (with some partial nudity thrown in, of course). And, let's not forget the case of the week. NYPD Blue exploded in the public's consciousness in 1993, and remained a presence in American homes for 12 years. For the first time, the entire run of the series is explored through a series of essays, character examinations, and trivia.

Interested in Blue's short-lived spinoff? Curious to know the details behind the numerous cast deflections? Want to know how those prose novels fit into the big picture? And, is it possible an NYPD Blue children's book was published in the UK?

Join writer Gene Kendall (CBR, Not Blog X) as he explores the series in unprecedented detail, a retrospective for fans by a fan, that serves as a tribute to the greatest network drama in history.

Gene Kendall is obviously a huge fan of this series and who wouldn't be, and he has produced an informed, detailed guide that is entertaining and interesting even for a non watcher of this classic ground-breaking series. The style is user friendly with lots of character detail, backgrounds of the writers, history and development of the series. I was impressed. I liked his honesty, he does not shy away from missed opportunities, continuity errors, and romantic subplots, the under use of characters and poor stories but is obviously a true fan. Brian L Knutson is an excellent choice as a narrator with an easy to listen to voice but one which does the material justice. I received a complimentary copy from the Author and am leaving a honest voluntary review.

An informative, entertaining guide to a classic
