About this listen

Among the Echoes is a full-length standalone novel.

My name was Dr. Erica Hill. I was a victim, then a witness, and then I ceased to exist altogether.

I may still be breathing, but stripped of my identity, I have long since stopped living. I am invisible, and my life depends on my ability to stay in the shadows.

But he sees me.

Slate Andrews is the embodiment of everything I have been taught to avoid. He’s rich and famous, and one image of him with a woman would earn millions for any paparazzi lucky enough to snap it. He has vowed to protect me with his life, yet he exposes me with his every breath. I should be stronger and walk away. I should disappear. But I’m terrified he would come after me.

I’m on the run, determined not to take him down with me, but absolutely unable to let him go.

My name is Riley Peterson...at least for today.

This novel contains material that may be offensive to some listeners. Including sexual abuse, graphic language, and adult situations. Intended for listeners 18+.

The story is well constructed . The MC is the victim held captive and raped by multiple men , the event while extremely awful is writen with as little detail as possible while conveying the awful and dramatic event which is at the core of the story and dose not happen again once she has escaped. If you can lisen past this there is retribution and healing by the end and love yes and a HEA

Better than some of the reverse surgested

Huge trigger warnings for sexual abuse
This is no damsel in distress story, it’s a story built around profound abuse.

I liked it but also had some issues around her relationship with her friend/“savior”. Don’t know how is it credible they can even have a relationship. Also her love interest is just a little too sure of himself and his capacities in the face of the massively dangerous people they’re dealing with.

I’ll go on with the next book in the series as it seems it gets better (not that this was bad, just not perfect).

Not bad but not great

Premise was really good but the delivery fell short. Lacking in detail, lots of events are glossed over or the listener is 'told' that events have happened without any exploration

This could have been so much better
