The story of an alliance between humans and Fae of the Seelie court, a war with the Unseelie and a half human half fae princess, who is promised to the most obnoxious and terrifying fae Prince who hates her as much as she hates him. Even though they hate each other, there is lots of banter, lots of spice and lots of biting. The story line was good and I enjoyed the book. The biting wasnt for me but I only took one star off for it. This is something I would expect of a vampire story personally. Otherwise I recommend and would say read it, you may love a bit of teeth action. I loved the banter betwen the two main characters and would recommend it for that alone.

At first I was like how is this not on booktok? It gave Cruel Prince and ACOTAR vibes. But then it got confusing and progressively worse. Like girl, make up your mind or are you that easily swayed. Who needs a good story when you have smut. Me.

Performance was great! The story was ok. It jumped around a bit especially scene changes without warning. I liked the character development and a light break up from my other heavy books. It took me a little longer than I liked to listen to it all but was alright

Ten mins in I wasn’t sure, 15 mins I was hooked! The tropes, the twists, the magic and lore of the land, the feisty, take no shit FMC. It all had me. My one downside is that it is a standalone and as of right now, I can’t just launch back into the world again! Ella Fields, if you see this, please give me more!
