I really enjoyed this excellent and very exciting alien attack story, I found the plot very fast paced with believable characters. The idea that we actually have worked with aliens to advance our technology and that we were related to them was really thought provoking.
This audiobook was truly enhanced by the usual excellent narration of R. C. Bray.

A great story read brilliantly by Mr Bray. My only issue was with the ineptitude of a number of characters. (Mild Spoiler Alert) The strong female character, a fighter pilot, makes a number of bizarre decisions for a person of her inner strength and intelligence. I just wasn't convinced she would have acted that way, time and again she got herself in trouble by just screwing up when her training and up bringing should have pushed her in another direction. Similarly a key male pilot acted in a similar fashion.

The story is great though, moves at a pace and feels like its been written as a script. Multiple story lines and the action flits from one to another. A bit predictable in places but overall a very good book.

Exciting and frustrating in almost equal measure.
