Summary

Zain was just a dog walker. It was an unconventional job for a werewolf, even a brand new one, but he liked dogs and they liked him. It only seemed to make sense... right up until the point a vampire called him in to take care of his human pup. When his life collided with Liam and Caleb's, none of them were prepared for the directions it could take.

Especially Zain.

But between the sexy pup and the vampire's creativity, the power struggles pitting dominance against submission - and acceptance - the two might be too intriguing to just walk away from.

How to train your human puppy

Zain is one messed up werewolf. Though that fits in with the vampire and his human puppy.
Having both his master and alpha to take care of him Caleb is slowly turning in to a very content puppy, and when a few alterations are made, all are more happy for it.
Even if it's not easy to train your employer in to being a better dog owner.

I continued this story on audio book, and the narrator is growing on me. The story had me in all kinds of stitches while laughing and embarrassed from the steamy scenes.

love the direction this series in going in

hawt...hawt... so freaking hot. the second part of this series is not only sweet and well developed have i mentioned it is HAWT. like how Zane has brought out Liams softer side and showed him that being kind to Caleb will get him what he wants from his pup not just spoil him. and OMG JJ is an amazing narrator love the fact that he gives each character their own voice bringing them to life for me and not just reads in a flat monotone voice.

entertaining

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? imersive story, interesting characters and good pace. Characters and story are developing some good depth. I liked how Zain becomes the balance Liam and Caleb need and watching their relationship take shape.

Narrator comment: JJ Jenness has done a reasonable job narrating Alpha. I found it a little flat at times, and I'm not convinced the characters voices really do them justice, but it wasn't enough to distract me from the story.

Kinky puppy play

Can a man be happy living as a pup? He can with the right dog walker. This was a lot sweeter than I thought it was going to be. And now I want to know more. Can their happiness continue now that it's the three of them together?
Narrator JJ Jenness does a good job.

This one was even better than the first ~

I loved this book so much that I listen to it all in one go. Caleb is the cutest puppy ever, and I'm so happy about the new entry, Zain. If Liam is the strong and hard master, Zain is the good and protective alpha, Caleb needs. They all together make this story works perfectly well. I usually don't like mmm so much, but this time I fell in love with the dynamic and the characters. Now I can't wait for the next one to comes out *^* ♡

thank you for the acx audio

Thank you for the acx audio, I voluntarily give this a honest review. Caleb and Liam move to a new location, Liam has a werewolf babysit for him, with the stubborn human strike something more in Zain. can a werewolf, human and vampire come together it makes a whole for all three of them. great book but the narrator did an ok job.

Entertaining and different

This was different from my usual reading/listening type. I'm not really into puppy play, and I prefer more romance in my stories. That said, I think this was well done for the genre. There was definitely an element of dominant/submissive interaction, but no abuse. I enjoyed the dynamic between the men, and how Zain brought a better understanding of the relationship to Liam, showing him how to treat Caleb in order to get the behavior he wanted from him. I, liked the three-way relationship (Liam refused to consider it love) and how Zain became the bridge between Liam and Caleb. There were plenty of steamy scenes, but I didn't feel much connection beyond the sex and ownership aspects. The narration was okay - well paced, with disguidhable voices for the different characters.

Alpha

This is a great continuation of Liam and Caleb’s story. No mater how hard Liam disciplines Caleb it seems to have the opposite effect and when Liam hires a dog walker their lives take a different turn. Caleb is still fighting his wants and needs, and Liam is still standing in the way of progress. So, when Zain enters the picture their lives are in chaos. Zain sees something in these two men and wants to make things better for them. Along the way he finds that helping these men means also helping himself. I loved seeing the dynamics between the three men and how Caleb learns to let himself go and give in to what he truly wants. Zain teaches both men some valuable lessons and it was nice to watch the relationship between the three men take shape. JJ Jenness keeps the story flowing but I found that I did not like the accents and voices used for the characters in this book.

Interesting & Unexpected

I haven't read book 1 and if I had it might have made the first part of this story better for me. I had trouble diving in to the already established relationship between Liam and Caleb. I didn't feel the connection and it skirted DubCon for me. Once Zain joined them and the dynamic shifted, the story and pacing picked up for me. And the heat level really rose at that point!

The narration was pretty well done. The sexy scenes were hot and unrushed. The pacing and character voices were good although I felt like Zain needed a bit more gravel to him. Not sure that makes sense... Overall, I liked this and I've surprised myself a bit by that! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great Dynamic

A great continuation of book 1. Liam and Caleb had a great dynamic between them but adding Zain made it so much better. Zain balances them. He gives Caleb more of the affection he needs and he helps Liam be better with Caleb. I really enjoyed this story and am curious to see where it goes from here. The narrator again did a greatb job with both the characters and the story. I really like his portrayal of Zain.
