Summary

Seventeen-year-old Scarlett Hayes is living her life by her own rules. Losing her parents at a young age has made her strong and fiercely independent. She knows exactly who she is, and nothing is going to change that. Everything starts to change for her when she moves to a new town. She meets Cade Presley.

He is domineering and arrogant which makes her detest him at first sight. She learns a secret that will unravel her perfect life and lead her into a world she never knew existed. Embracing her new life is difficult when it pulls her closer to Cade. Finding out you are destined to be with someone forever is hard to handle especially when you want to throttle them every time you see them. The attraction she feels for him is undeniable, and there is no fighting destiny.

Loved it

If you like the supernatural/werewolf genre you should love this. I do and she is now up there with my favourites. I am an addict.
The characters is this were likeable and the story had me gripped. I have even bothered to write a review and that takes a lot from me.
My only wish is more of her books are on audible!!

too rushed

Key moments are rushed. the main character falls in love in a paragraph. she accepts her destiny in one page. no built up for the romance. disappointing. DNF @ 70%

Such a great book!

This was such a great book! I wasn’t sure at first and I just wanted a book to listen to. I got attached very quickly listened to it while I work on projects or was driving. I started it 2 days ago and just finished it!

repeats too much

The storyline was nice but when it switched from each character they repeated everything that happened. And the book was too descriptive.

girl power

about time the strength of a female werewolf is shown. love it! this read offers its own spin on the world of the supernatural. its always a great experience when you stumble upon a book that redefines a genre oppose to adding to it.

So much angst and not enough plot

She whines the entire time about how they are stronger than her but then she hates him thinking she is weak. Well, if they are stronger than her and she doesn't even try to become stronger then she IS weak.

There are some evil wolves too, but that is pretty much all of the story.

Too much of a feminsitic agenda

I felt the author had an agenda when writing her book, look your a feminist great I'm happy for you, but don't push it on your readers, the more I listened the more that's what I felt she was doing. I'm not hear to read/listen for someone's agenda, I'm here to listen to a great book without having to deal with an agenda.

I didn't really like the narrator either.
I had to stop about 3/4 of the way through just because I couldn't handle the chick complaining that she could do everything a man can do.

Just my thoughts and opinion

Needed a narrator duet

loved the story! I wish a male could have performed Caid's chapters. Also was weird reading they shifted back to human with their clothes on. Other than that it was a great story. I hope book 2 becomes available on Audible.

good but problems with the story <br />

The main characters are 17 but they act like there in their mid 20's. if not 30's. The characters should have been in college for the story to work better. And the female started out strong but finished as a marshmallow. The males acted for the most part as cave men. at least until the end . Spoiler from this point on.

The author should check facts if the person who the werewolf is biting has wolf bane in there blood the wolf biting that person would get in there system as well. 2nd you need to hit a vane with the syringe with air to cause a heart attack not just stabbing someone with it. other wise anyone that has surgery would die.

Ugh.

I wanted to like this book, but there was NO character development. It was as if all the characters were interchangeable. That all spoke the same and had similar personalities. Also, the book got pretty repetitive with re explaining events and thoughts.
