Summary

Wie viele Geheimnisse erträgt eine Familie? Ilaria glaubte, ihren Vater zu kennen - bis eines Tages ein junger Afrikaner auf dem Treppenabsatz vor ihrer Wohnung sitzt und behauptet, mit ihr verwandt zu sein. Hier beginnt Ilarias Entdeckungsreise, und von hier aus entfaltet Francesca Melandri eine schier unglaubliche Familiengeschichte über drei Generationen und entwirft ein schonungsloses Porträt der italienischen Gesellschaft. Sie holt die bisher verdrängte italienische Kolonialgeschichte in die Literatur und stellt die Schlüsselfragen unserer Zeit: Was bedeutet es, zufällig im "richtigen" Land geboren zu sein, und wie entstehen Nähe und das Gefühl von Zugehörigkeit?

Italiäner

Alles wunderbar gelesen, nur über die italiänischen Italiäner bin ich immer wieder gestolpert ... Die Geschichte an sich ist sehr spannend, ich wusste viel zu wenig über die italienische "Besatzung" in Äthiopien.
