It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

prepare the tissues... to mop-up the sadness.
All the previous books were great but this one is by far the most "wonderful" if I even can use this expression here. The charter's arc's, the unsuspected plot turn's were both heart warming and heart wrenching time and time again. It is so great to read a humane-first-of-all apocalypse story, it is pretty rear in the genre in my opinion, it is more then not all about the action in the other books, that's why this one is so special to me. Here it is about the people, and their stores, plus main protagonist is a woman written confidently and realistically with all greatness of survival and ugliness of survival together, and it makes the story even more indeering, you can relate, you can cheer, you can be sad, but most of all you can not stop reading it (or listening in my case, the voice-over is brilliantly done!).
P.S. And yes, after Chapter 33 Anna's Backpack scene I was crying like there was no return.

Just one of the best writers, and series
I love Sarah lyons Fleming, not afraid to say it. She is a lovely human. Despite all the trauma she puts her main character through, you know it's all worth it for Cassie.
For Cassie, the only way to live is with and for love... Otherwise the nightmare she's living through is pointless.
The reader also does a great job. Her Cassie is a lovely person.
Totally recommended, but read book one and two first!

I've listened to the previous books and this one is a total letdown. it's full it repeated crap about feelings, emotions and people coming to tears. the final 2 hours are completely boring and I kept swearing at the narrator to move on. I didn't even bother with the epilogue.

Good in parts
The narration is good. The plot is ok and the story rattles along at a reasonable pace until the last couple of hours, which could have been dispensed with or at least significantly reduced.
I kept wanting to shout: 'Keep the sick people away from the others, for goodness sake!' at regular intervals in the latter part of the book- something that seems beyond these characters! I was also annoyed by all the 'lovey dovey happy ever after stuff' towards the end, as well as by the continued insistence that 16/17 year olds would go to school in the zombie apocalypse!
Apart from the last couple of hours I enjoyed this more than the previous book in the series and certainly more than the City novels.

Another excellent book, this time I kinda knew the destination, not if they would get there. The narrator is still excellent. She voice acts in such a way that her voice doesn’t get too loud or too quiet. She comes across very clearly through headphones, Bluetooth speaker and through my phone’s speaker. After book 2 I’m a little nervous to listen to this one. The author isn’t afraid to hurt her characters!
A good end.

Perfect Ending to this awesome series. I feel like I lost friends along this journey and made many new ones. It also felt like things came full circle. The details of the traveling in this series are great, Alaska is one of my dream places so while they were traveling through Canada into Alaska I was enjoying the ride... minus the Lexers and the terrible people. I loved that even in the worst of situations they still found a little normal. Family, Friends, Pets and Love. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and I'm strictly a romance listener, Good job Sarah for showing me something new and making me fall in love.
Julia Whelan was AMAZING in this series! So many characters, so many locations and different accents including many ages and she mastered it all!

Amazing end of the trilogy
I wanted to put off listening to this one, because I knew it was the last book- but I also HAD to know what Cassie and the group faced before they got their happy ever after. I also had to find out who made it to their happily ever after, as Sarah Lyons Fleming isn't shy about killing off a favorite character. Nobody is guaranteed a safe spot in her world.
The characters are what makes this series so amazing. The survivors have all developed so much from the first book, and they are so real. There is no shortage of action from the zombies, and some really nasty living baddies too.
So while I am heartbroken that this is the end, I can honestly say this is a series that I will visit again in the future to listen to again.
Julia Whelan does a fantastic job with the narration. She really brought Cassie to life and nailed her snark. I have enjoyed all the books I have listened to that were read by her.

More like this, please!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I most definitely would recommend this series to a friend though the friend really has to be into, or at least open to, SciFi/Fantasy Zombie stories. I love everything about this series. It has heart and grit.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked everything about this story "best." It's very intimate and always kept me alert and ready for a chuckle or a panic for survival.
Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have listened to Julia Whelan but it was this series that I first heard her and I'm a HUGE fan! She's a fave and if Julia is the narrator, my audiobook choices are often based on her.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, many moments where death was so close to my favorite characters!
Any additional comments?
I would not mind MORE of Cassie and her crew!

Best zombie apocalypse fiction out there!
I have to say, i just loved this series. I listen to these at work, and i found myself excited to go to work in the morning to find out what happened to Cassie and the group. Julia Whelan is also a wonderful narrator. I found myself searching audible for other titles narrated by her. She really brings life to the characters, male and female. All I can say is, if you are interested in z-apocalypse fiction, this is one of the best series out there. The characters are so developed and the story keeps moving. And if you aren't into zombies, i recommend these books as well. Sure, there's gore, but the characters are what draw you in. You can see a real progression in each character. I was satisfied by the end, but man, i wish there would be more of these!

Love this series
Sarah has a way of evoking some major emotion with her writing, and All the Stars in the Sky doesn't disappoint.
While often I'll balk at tying everything up in a shiny red bow, this series needed it and it was written exactly how I wanted it to play out. I don't know if it was my own imagination, or if the author subtly led me in that direction, but it was flawlessly executed.
This series is an absolute must read.

Again, I don't want to give away the plot. It's still a great finish to the series, but it has a lot of sad parts. So, brace yourself. I still think you will enjoy the book, lots of plot twists like The Walking Dead. I do like how it ended, phew!

Not my normal genre, but by far one of the best series EVER! Great book, well worth the credits!!! The books must be read in order, even the novella!
To be honest I've listened to this series many times, it's by far one of the best Zombie apocalypse trilogies. The narration is perfect, the story keeps you entertained (even if you know the story nearly by heart)! Love this story!
I have read this and listened to it twice. The narrator is particularly good and the story is really a love story. The characters are well defined and the zombies are definitely obstacles and many close friends are lost on their way to finding a refuge and sometimes even the refuge comes under attack, either by zombies or greedy men. I loved the way this ended too. All in all a very satisfying story.

Coming Full Circle
Julia Whelan's dreamy narration makes this novel come to life. She breathes life into each beloved character with her humorous or serious interpretations. her sense of timing us impeccable . A novel such as this, the third of three , needs to show readers just how far characters have traveled . This story does this . My thirst for dystopian novels is finally quenched with this trilogy . The love stories and friendships embedded in the post end of world storyline are not angst ridden and perfect . Instead they are real, brojen, angry, brave, patieht, and devoted. If you have ever loved someone at the wrong time and had the fortune to meet up again much later and find the time is right then you will understand how unique it would be to spend all of that time in between breaking up and getting together with each other rather than apart . Cassie and Peter find themselves broken up but stuck with each other as they survive in a world that is ending This is no teenage love story. They are adults who endure losses unimaginable and form friendships as they rebuild their lives and gather others in need of love and protection around them .
I recommend this trilogy for the storytelling and story itsekf. It's difficult to tell where one begins and the other ends in this amazing performance .
