Summary

"To him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

Spurgeon's masterpiece on grace from Romans 4:5 is an outstanding description of God's love and unmerited grace to us. It is one of the clearest examples of salvation by grace ever written. Spurgeon's masterpiece is one the finest expositions ever penned on faith, repentance, and regeneration.

Powerful, intelligent, insightful

Spurgeon presents a powerful, intelligent, and insightful call to be reconciled to God and find true life. Direct, thought-provoking, heart-penetrating, passionate, and loving without compromise. Vance is excellent in his narration - with tone and cadence that demonstrates understanding of the author's intent, that illuminates the text, and that adds value to the experience. This truly is a must for the Christian and for the seeker. One of the most rewarding books I have ever listened to or read.

The Righteousness of God

In this short book Spurgeon exposes the meaning of God's grace and its effects in the life of men and women that answered his calling. The obstacles faced by the christian when he pursues God's will are overcomed by faith and this is a expression of God's grace. Our sins can be subdued when we experience God's grace. This gift from God makes us righteous, provides reconciliation with our holy God and gives us peace. A clear and illuminated exposition about a central article of christian faith.

Grace

Would you consider the audio edition of All of Grace to be better than the print version?

I don't know that but definitely a lot easier to use . Get through the book a lot quicker this way too

Excellent, Humble Guide For Being Saved Via Christ

Loved it. I have full confidence in Charles Spurgeon that he will tell the whole truth about salvation. and he did. He relays how a person can be saved. Spurgeon gently guides and urges the prospective believer towards salvation,. but it is not by manipulation, but rather thorough, yet simple persuasion. It is not by personal work at all. It is only by grace, both in receiving salvation and in maintaining it. God does all. Our job is just to believe. He covers all of that, how this takes place. He covers repentance, the action of our will versus God's will, the action of the Holy Spirit, various doubts and difficulties a person may have in coming to Christ and after they are saved. And more. Simon Vance does excellent job in narration. has a pleasant voice, easy to listen to, and is expressive when it is appropriate. Takes little over 3 hours for him to read it at normal speed. He directs this book to the one seeking understanding of salvation, but in my opinion it's also excellent for the knowledgeable Christian. It is good to hear from someone so wise. The knowledgeable Christian will not be bored, and the newcomer will not be overwhelmed, but rather guided.
