Summary

Winning Nationals wasn’t the only dream that came true. I also walked away with the heart of the one boy without whom I couldn’t live. I knew being Jace Wilder’s girlfriend wouldn’t be simple. But how could I have known all the hurdles we would face?

Drama at school? That’s a given. Jealous girls? That I expected. Family secrets? Not so much. At least I can always hit the trails to clear my head...or so I thought.

The high expectations from my winning cross country season still haunt me and hold me hostage. I can’t seem to get psyched up for what comes next. My competitive spirit is fading, and I’m lost without it. What will I do when my one constant is no longer my safe place?

Life on and off the track is spiraling out of control, leaving me in its wake as I struggle to remember who I truly am.

I can’t get enough of this series!!

Wow, I can’t get enough of this series. So much angst and tension... Pepper lost her mojo and I’m so happy to see her finding her spark again and what was that evil so and so doing? Ughhh I really want to condemn her to book hell... Jace seems to have settled down or grown up a lot more in this instalment.. but the ever present threats to his and Pepper’s relationship has my heart stalling in my chest... pepper still needs to really discover herself outside of Jace. Onto book 3 I go!! 4.5 stars

Pepped up

I was hoping that I would like Jace in this book better than in book one, but I’m still on the fence. When Pepper shifted focus from herself to everything Jace, I didn’t care for that. I enjoy the listen and keep on with the series. 🎧 AudiobookObsession 🎧

Pep Get Ready

Pepper knew once word got out that she was dating Jace things would change. She never expected to have to fight others for their relationship. Jace has enemies that wants to bring him down and they know the easiest way is through Pepper. Pepper learns that sometimes you have to fight your own battles though this process. A Good Continuation

All Peppered Up is the second book in this series and we continue on this journey with Pepper. Filled with mean girls, jealously, angst and drama, in this book you will see Pepper face and overcome personal challenges, the development of her relationship with Jace, and excellent character growth, however there was less of the sports moments than the previous book. The audiobook version was narrated by Stacey Glemboski who did a fabulous job with the characters. Her voice was clear and understandable and I enjoyed listening to her narrate this novel. Enjoyed

Second book 🌟🌟🌟💫 for the story but 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for the audio. I thought the story would go a bit further, I get the issues they dealt with but felt like they didn’t really have a massive connection on a relationship point of view and him getting jealous made no sense when she never done anything and her totally did but not speaking much for a week then just totally fine after a little chat didn’t make sense and I felt like the secret they kept she never resolved it like she just got over stuff and things weren’t dealt with. I am still looking forward to the next one as want to see how their relationship develops.

Book 2 is as good as book 1!

This continuation of Peppers journey is packed with angst and things out of control for this young woman. It was interesting to read how she handled each situation as it came at her. There is interesting commentary on the cattiness of teens, as well as the pressure of sports here that I found to be very interesting. I love Ali Deans writing, even though I am not a teen, she makes you think about these things. Stacey Glemboski has the perfect voice for these characters!

this series keeps on getting better !

only book 2 and yet I am completely hooked on peppers story, a high school romance with a bit of drama but mostly the passion a young girl has to reach her goals despite what gets in her way I can't wait to listen to the rest of this series and see what happens, it's the best series I've listened to / read in a while I love that how despits some moments it still manages to make you smile , the narrator is absolutely perfect in her portrayal of all the characters in this story 🎧 Audiobook Obsession Reviewer

Wonderful Performance, Stronger Story!

The Pepper Jones series is a definite favorite of mine. In the sequel, "All Pepped Up," Pepper navigates the pressure of becoming a well-known runner while also discovering her own voice. Although I have read the series multiple times, I wanted to listen to it while commenting to school. This performance did not disappoint. The narrator is the same as in the first audiobook and I believe Glemboski has fully captured the tone of each character. I look forward to listening to the remaining audiobooks once they are released because this story is not just about a teenager navigating a relationship, bullies, and high school. Pepper is a woman learning her strength and how to trust her own instincts.

Does Not Disappoint

This is the second book in the Pepper Jones series and Ms. Dean did not disappoint. My first thought when it ended was that it was shorter (which both listening time and story time – it is). But then I realized that it is a vital piece of the Pepper/Jace story and was likely too long to include in the next book. This actually makes the series refreshing, as they are different lengths and it breaks from the old cliché of one book per school year. While it can be read on its own, I would recommend reading the first book before as there are a lot of things mentioned that have a lot more back story than what is let on. Once again Stacey Glemboski provides wonderful narration for the characters. Not only does she provide voices for each of the main characters, but also an inflection of feeling and presence. For example, if a face is smushed, the voice sounds smushed and my favorite…someone says something with food in their mouth and you wouldn’t doubt it! It made me wonder if she recorded while eating just for the scene. I’m now invested with these characters and I can’t wait to see where they go in book three! The only negative I would say is there is not enough Gran! I would encourage Ms. Dean to consider her next series to be Gran in her youth. It would certainly be interesting to hear her back story. I was provided with a free copy of this audio book for my honest review. The views expressed here are entirely my own.

Book 2 - Just as great as Book 1

I love the continuation of the Pepper story and all of the characters. They are growing as individuals and we continue to get to know the good and the bad. The narration is perfection again; she makes me feel like I'm part of their story. What more could you want? I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

I am re-living high school...

Ali has such a way with her words that I literally feel like I am re-living high school. As a gal that was in both cross country and track, I feel like this story could have truly taken place in my life (minus the drinking). I am loving this story and can't wait to see how the rest of Pepper's story progresses!

Worth Waiting For

In this book, Jace and Pepper are in a relationship. It is definitely your typical high school YA book. Lots of petty drama and stuff. Pepper and Jace are now officially dating. Of course they have pissed people off by doing that. We see them as a couple and how they resolve their problems and how they manage to keep their relationship going. Pepper is a little insecure because Jace was with other girls and he is like a celebrity in their town. Everyone knows Jace and he likes to be around people. She is afraid that Jace will leave her but Jace reassures her that he only loves her. We can see the softer side of Jace and I love this side of him. Jace is patient and sweet with Pepper. Pepper was more mature in this book because she supported Jace and his decisions even if she didn’t understand his decisions. I liked her because she was there for Jace and she gives him what he needed. Also, Jace was there for Pepper when she needed his support. I like this book because we get to see Jace and Peper like a couple and I love their relationship. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. My Favorite Quote from the Book::.. "The more you love, the more love you have to give. It's the only feeling we have which is infinite.." "This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review" Plot.::⭐⭐⭐⭐stars Story.::⭐⭐⭐⭐stars Narrator.:: Stacey Glemboski⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

High School is Rough

Running takes a backseat to the drama in this angst filled follow up. Pepper seems to lose her steam for training and is focused on her love life. Jake is coming at his jealousy fists a blazing. This is a really fun listen. Killer narration 🎧AudiobookObsession🎧

Perfect Continuation!

This has been the perfect continuation from book 1. It was a tad shorter but packed so much in that time! Ali has woven a web with these characters that gets you hooked from the very start. I am beyond invested in these characters and cannot wait to see what awaits them in book 3! The narration was yet again perfection! I cannot say enough good things about the work that Stacey does on this series! 🎧AudiobookObsession🎧

Book Two is Just as Good as Book One

I LOVED the first book in the series, and I cannot believe it has taken me so long to listen to the second book. I absolutely loved All Pepped Up. The story line was great, my jaw dropped at the surprises, and it had really great chemistry between the characters. It has light steaminess to it. I highly recommend this series. The fact it was just as good as the first book speaks to Ali Dean's fantastic writing. Now on to listen to book 3! Stacey Glemboski has distinct voices and emotions that make for an easy and clear listening experience. I received a copy of this audiobook at my request. All opinions are 100% my own.
