My 3 year old and 5 year old love it
Lovely short stories perfect for bedtime listening. My children love this collection of stories and know most of them word for word now!

Perfect
Just what we needed for two children struggling to sleep, Roger Allam's voice is perfect for Shirley Hughes' words.
These stories are so beautifully crafted, everyday scenarios that children experience, written with such care and attention.
I loved them as a child (can you tell?!) and now it's wonderful to share the audiobook with my own children.
The only thing I wish is that children's book were a bit cheaper on audible, so that more people could access them.

we have been listening to these since my daughter was 18months and we still love them now she's nearly 5! Beautiful stories...Hughes' observation of childhood and family life is perfect!

Lovely stories - beautifully told
Love listening to these stories with my daughter. Alfie's experiences are still so relatable for young children. Highly recommend

Wonderful stories. Good length
Shirley Hughes' Alfie stories are classics. Great to get a good number of them included in one collection rather than individual audiobooks. Narrator is nothing special but fine. Perfect for car journeys, or while sitting at the table doing crafts or colouring.
