All of my kiddos loved this audiobook set. In true audio book fashion, it really encouraged them to use their imaginations. The only reason they ever wanted to stop listening was so they could act it out themselves and imagine traveling to Alex's world. Both my son and daughter loved listening to this story! What a great! Fantastic book! I’ve listened to all the books in the playtime books series! The story is charming. The storyline is fun and it can be very suspenseful at times but that just makes it better. Little kids may get a bit scared, there are some scary parts in there. Ann Twigg did a wonderful job writing the story because. The story, the emotion, everything! I would definitely recommend this audio book to anyone looking for books for boys, especially those who really like fiction.

We really enjoyed this audio book and was very fitting for the summer time of year. We listened to this story in the car on a longer car journey and it really kept my children's attention (age 6 and 8). The story has some very likable characters and my daughters loved hearing about the little people in it. A very enjoyable listen and we will probably listen to this more than once. Would recommend.

My daughter loved it
This audiobook is read in a calm and familiar tone, which makes it easy for children to relax and engage with the story.
My three year old daughter was having a difficult day, and was too tired to do much. I suggested she have a lie down, to which she refused, however when I put Alex's Amazing Secret on, she snuggled down in bed and lay motionless for half an hour, totally absorbed in the story. She managed to tell me all about it afterwards, so she'd been concentrating well.
I can't wait to hear more stories from Ann Twigg, I have a feeling that they will become firm favourites.
