While visiting their friends Chase and Haylee in Alaska, Don and Samantha learn of the EMP attack on the lower 48 United States on October 28th.

Having been spared the devastating effects up there, the four of them rushed home to Michigan to "rescue" their parents and bring them back to Alaska—3,000 miles each way.

Travel with them and see through their eyes what might happen to our neighbors if the greatest country on the planet was caught by surprise and knocked to its knees….

Things won’t go as smoothly as expected, they never do, but you won’t believe the curveballs thrown at them from virtually the moment they leave.

Join them on an adventure different from all the others, In The October Fall World.

"The author of this story, Keven Craven, is a third-generation disaster fiction storyteller offering his first published work here. If you’ve read much in this genre, you’ve probably read some of his dad’s stories, Boyd Craven III, or his grandpa’s, Boyd Craven Jr. They couldn’t be more proud of him!" (Raventhorne Books)

Loved the narration from Miles Meili. He brings out the characters, action, suspense and brought out the book. Perfect.

While Chase and Haylee in Alaska, visiting Don and Samantha, on the last day they learn of the EMP attack on the lower 48 United States on October 28th. The four of them rushed home to Michigan to ‘rescue’ their parents and bring them back to Alaska.
There was friendship, loyalty, forgiveness, excitement, fear, tension and love.

The storyline was very gripping, it kept my focus well, especially considering I don't normally read books like this, I loved Don's character, kinda want a bit of an origin story for him.
I love this narrator's voice, he did lots of different characters really well including the female voices.

Very well written & acted
