Summary

This box set includes all five books in the Air Awakens series, as featured on Bustle and The Huffington Post - a book full of magic, romance, and epic fantasy.

A library apprentice, a sorcerer prince, and an unbreakable magic bond....

The Solaris Empire is one conquest away from uniting the continent, and the rare elemental magic sleeping in 17-year-old library apprentice Vhalla Yarl could shift the tides of war.

Vhalla has always been taught to fear the Tower of Sorcerers, a mysterious magic society, and has been happy in her quiet world of books. But after she unknowingly saves the life of one of the most powerful sorcerers of them all - the Crown Prince Aldrik - she finds herself enticed into his world. Now, she must decide her future: Embrace her sorcery and leave the life she's known, or eradicate her magic and remain as she's always been. And with powerful forces lurking in the shadows, Vhalla's indecision could cost her more than she ever imagined.

skips constantly from book three.

The audio file is terrible. The sound stutters and skips constantly. I'm not sure if entire words are missed but it is very possible. Books 1 and 2 seem fine but book 3 is making me want to exchange it. Definitely won't be a repeat listen if I can finish it. It's a shame really as the story is quite good.

Just checked the reviews for book 3 standalone audio and there are complaints about the file quality with that. It's really a bad show merging audio files that are known to be faulty.

Audio difficulties

I have zero complaints about the story, I've been really enjoying it. The first three books narration wasn't the best, audio skipped and stopped, sometimes sentences would be repeated or there was strange long pauses. But I could get past that. However they changed the narrator for the fourth book and its terrible. She doesn't have the right voice for the book and pronounces everything differently with a really breathy voice. I'll be returning this book and instead buy the kindle version. Really dissapointing

Why did they switch narrators?!

The story itself is amazing! But why oh why did they change narrators for the last 2? She was awful... and I swear on the last book parts were out of order at one point. But I’m still glad I finished the storyline.

The narrator switch killed it for me.

Enjoyed the books - great deal for the price. Only gripe is the change of narrator after the third book - horrible move. The second narrator isn't one I'd choose to listen to, plus we get used to the voices assigned to each character in the first THREE books, but the new narrator on books 4 & 5 has very limited range and most characters sound the same as all the others. I stuck with it as long as i could but gave up 3/4 of the way through book 4. now I'm pissed and unsatisfied bc I don't know how it ends - I'll have to try to find the books and read them the old-fashioned way... thanks, whoever produced this. jerks.

Starts slow - stick through the first book

Ok, I just started the second book and feel like I need to say something. The first book was... slow. The narrator sounds almost robotic. Something about the editing I think, her words sound clipped or cut off and it feels like it skips sometimes. Her voice is also fairly monotone. I had a really hard time paying attention when I first started. Then, the next thing I know things seem to finally pick up and we’re on to book 2. The story is awesome so far, so please stick with it! You’ll get used to her voice and the story will suck you in.

Change of narrator

Amazing stories, at book 3 they change the Narrator and that is very annoying because you are used to the other Narrator. yea that killed some of the magic.

Must Read

Elise Kova, I applaud you. I never wanted to put it down, all the progression of the characters growth. All the trials and tribulations, all the tears, they were all worth it. This series has become my most recommended series! I did notice that there were some points that I felt like I skipped because of the glitches. Other than that, well and they change narrators after three. But I loved it. I love Vallah, at first I hated her, but she totally grew on me. But Aldrick, I put off finishing the book for two week because I didn't want to come to terms of leaving him. He is everything I wanted in a person and then some! Thank you for sharing you imagination with the world!

A neckbeard's webu fantasy in medieval Hogwarts

Purchased this book series after after reading a Reddit thread on quality fantasy books. It must have been a troll of the most refined nature. No, it does not get better after the first book. It gets worse. Characters are illogical and their actions/dialogue are inconsistent with narration and description of internal dialogue from others. The performance the performing narrator is so poor, I can only believe she wanted to get it over as quickly as possible.

one word.. pathetic

this is a great book if you want to portray women as pathetic, weak insanely stupid moronic and idiotic. the author is almost as bad as debra harkness. Possibly a good story but hard to find inside the pathetic characterization of the lead character.

Great story sometimes bad audio

I absolutely loved this series! I love Jax and Laurel ans Im kind of hoping that Elicia and Jax have a story either in the Golden Gaurd Triology or in the Vortex series. Aldrik is probably my gavorite in character growth. Wow does he change a lot over the course of the series amd really becomes the emperor he's meant to be.

I had no probabky with the voice actor or that the voice actor changes with book 4. I did have some really weird audio though where the words were all spaced out wonky and didnt flow. There also was a mix up of chapters in book 5.

Can’t find what book starts where

It would be nice if the chapters were organized by book number and indent the characters instead of trying to find out by clicking through out
